Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I had my graduation with a bachelor of science (biology) from the University itself and had a keen interest in zoology thus pursuing a master's in the same. The faculty as well as the environment over here is much more cooperative and friendly. Many times you won't feel like you are talking to your professor, a total of 50 seats are granted to the course. All the professors are highly experienced and have published various papers with a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience. The teaching method includes both ppt and board methods and all of them truly excel in their fields. The exams either end sem, mid sem, and internal assessments are held from time to time.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are not directly provided by the department but are provided by the University and even a central placement cell gives all information about the different placement scenarios held for the college students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Though you will find fees higher than other state government Universities or colleges but believe me it's worth it. The instruments as well as the practical sessions are of great help the dissection adds the cherry on the top. So it's all worth it for your experience and your welfare. You can apply for government scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Sanskriti is the annual college fest organized whereas different departments make some or the other seminars, and conferences happen every once or once in a couple of months. And since it happens at certain times so huge participation amongst the students take place. Vitals is named for the Zoological society in which different clubs are divided. And the foremost important thing you will be getting is a ragging-free environment.

Hostel Facilities

4

As a master's student, you will be given a single-seater room. Along with well-furnished rooms. The overall food quality is good and at certain times is far better than other tiffin services too, a considerable hygienic environment is even maintained every time. All the hostel-related info is posted on the site.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a postgraduate course so I took admitted to this course because I want to become a lecturer (Professor). So after doing this I want to pursue a doctorate degree. Teacher student ratio in this course is 1:60 In this college, there are both permanent faculty and guest faculty. Permanent faculty has better teaching skills than the guest faculty because the majority of them are students who pursue doctorate degrees under the guidance of this college's Professors. They generally lack experience. The teaching method is excellent for permanent faculty. Exams are held timely. One is held in the month of December and the other in May. There are four semesters in this course. The paper level is difficult. One needs a descriptive knowledge of the subject to score good marks in examinations. Previous year papers can provide a lot of help.
