You must apply for jee mains the only way to get admission to REC Azamgarh. Then apply for counselling through the AKTU Lucknow website. Get allotment then freeze the seat. Also, you can get benefits of reservation in admission. Overall the admission process is very smooth.

College follows the guidelines of Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow which follows the AICTE curriculum. There are more than sufficient faculty members available in the college appointed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh after qualifying for State PSC exams. Each faculty are from IITs or NITs and other esteemed colleges in India. Exams are also done as mentioned in the academic calendar of AKTU.

After 6 semesters students are eligible to get placement before they can join the internships. Unnati, pixel, aavishkar these are some college fest organised by the clubs of REC Azamgarh also for freshers there is Abhyarambh. There is Viraaj for the annual sports fest, students always make records in zonal and state-level sports fest organised by AKTU. The central library and digital library are there, students don't need to buy the book. They can get issues from the library. All classrooms are equipped with Digi boards and projectors for the convenience of student. Scrabbler's club, Yantriki club, and Ingenious club are the clubs which are run by the students of REC.

You can get a hostel inside the campus with 3 seaters (for the junior year) 3 sets of beds, tables, cupboards and a chair. 16350 is the fee for mess for a semester which is quite good. Menus are decided by the mess secretary (student only) of the hostel. Some of the students live outside the hostel, that's also affordable.
