Remarks

The admission process was very smooth going. I applied to this college on seeing its advertisement in the newspaper. I gave the entrance exam after which I got my rank and during counseling, I got the branch electronics and telecommunications. I don't know about cutoff but if you receive a decent rank then you can get the top branches of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the branch E&TC because as far as I have heard it is the best branch in BVP. The teachers here are very cooperative and friendly. Most of the professors have completed their Ph.D. or are in the process of doing Ph.D. There are around 15+ faculty members in the department. We had 5 subjects each semester and there were two unit tests and one final exam for that particular subject. The difficulty of the examination was moderate, if you study well you will be able to pass the examination with good grade

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike is not much. For 4 years my fees were the same and for the next upcoming batches only 10-15k were increased. Financial aid is also provided for students who come from a poor background. Although I don't know much about it as I paid the full fees. But I have heard from my friends that scholarship or some financial aid is provided by the college. In our 4th year, we get to sit on campus placements. A number of companies from Pune and out of Pune visit the college. I got the job in CTS. The placement rate of the college is more than 85%.

Campus Life

There are different clubs running for dance, music, drama, and coding. Sports are also available. There is a basketball, football and cricket team of our college. Several inter-college tournaments are held in our college and our teams also perform in other college's tournaments also. There is one annual fest in our college, however, I think it could be better. The college should also include several activities like a traditional day or mismatch day or anything like that, like other colleges. The library is good, many books are provided and now we can access the library digitally also which is an advantage. There are two private clubs running 'Rotaract' and 'Leo'.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules.
