Entrance Preview

I choose Global University because it was one of the best for hotel management in Amritsar. I haven't took any written general entrance exam, i was shortlisted by my higher secondary examination result then I was shortlisted for an interview with the Head of Department and some other faculty members.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very good with lots of practical session along with theory. Out of all semester one semester is for industrial training wherein we get the on the floor experience of the industry and that helps one to choose his field of interest. The semester term end consist of final exam and also the internal sessions.

Placement Experience

Placements are from the same companies as that came for internships. The placement is almost 100%. Although it is a long interview process with at least 3 rounds. The interview process was quite stressful because of the nature of the industry but we were all prepped well by out teachers.

Campus Life

The gender ratio in our class was 1 girls: 3 boys but that is very common for hotel management. There were a lot of inter college tournaments and activities for sports and other cultural events. It was great fun and gave everyone an opportunity to showcase their talent in fields they really love.

Faculty was very proactive and in line with current industry trends. Everyone in our faculty had solid experience in the hotel industry so they could give us first hand knowledge and train us well. The best part is they had a lot of contacts in the industry which really helped.

experience of a student in campus life

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester student got eligible for campus placements . many companies which offered placements pacakeges like honda , taj hotels, j w marriott , hero cycles , tvs , maruti suzuki , hilton, hyatt regency ,hcl , tata company and so on . The average pacakage as per companies offered is 10,000 rupees and the highest package is upto 1,00,000 rupees . Few weeks ago a student from school of hospitality got the placement in indigo as cabin crew with highest pacakage , rupee 5.4 LPA . According to me 50 to 60% students got the placements . My plan is simple to get the best placement after completing the degree.
