Remarks

Eligibility of B. Arch course is clearance of NATA entrance exam and 12th maths marks. We even have classes for NATA preparation. We can get information on application dates, fees, etc through various websites. It's easy but we need to keep a check on the dates.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I liked drawing and painting and I was attracted to interiors and exteriors of spaces and buildings. The faculty of my college is really helpful and friendly. We can ask them doubts any time anywhere. Many of our teachers are masters in different fields like sustainable architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, etc and few are even PhDs in their fields.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a few scholarships given by the college, some are of reservations and one which I got is of EBC(economic backward category) and one that avails for those who got admissions through CAPround of NATA. Fees are almost like other colleges around 1L but with scholarships, we can get advantages.

Campus Life

There are fests like Freshers for every new batch around September, culturals every year around January month. And I am its 2nd batch so I'm sure upcoming batches will be lucky to experience and explore a lot. And we even have NASA India a organization of students of India through which we have events and competitions which is one of the most exciting events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
