Secured qualified marks in standard 12th(HSC) board and took an entrance exam - National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and JEE main (Paper-II) and got a qualified score for both exams. Registered and applied for MHT CET B.Arch Common Admission Process. Verified all documents. Then fill out the preference form for college selection based on merit score and cut-off released on the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Finally allowed to Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Institute of Environment and Design's College of Architecture, Lohegaon, Pune Completed admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as of my interest to learn this course and its good scope for the future. The course is fully practical based. The curriculum is very well planned. The faculty of our college is very knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. They are very helpful, understanding, and well-communicable. They give their full efforts to students' betterment. The way of teaching is excellent. Many of the faculties in the college have completed their post-graduation in M.Arch.

Class Size: 37Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are 150000 for the open category. This includes development fees, Library fees, and others. Hostel fees are 65000. Every year we used to pay 700 in addition to the tuition fee. This includes an insurance scheme for students. Students can apply for government scholarships. No hike in fees in any year of the entire course.

Campus Life

Life on campus is very good. Aarambh is the name of our annual fest which is conducted every year. College also celebrates the yearly festival. The infrastructure is excellent. The college has the following facilities - Free WiFi is available for all students at high speed, 2 well-developed computer labs with high specifications, studios that are large in size and well colored with full of light, and air conditioning. The college has a library with 10000-20000 books on different subjects. The college has a separate sports room for indoor games. Outdoor games are also played on the college ground and all sports equipment is provided by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
