Remarks

I applied for all government funded engineering colleges and got selected in this. Admission to this college is done through JEE mains. During 2017, the cutoff was around 140/360.So basically if you qualified the exam, you stand a good chance. Given that the exam results are published in percentile now, a decent percentile of 95-96 shall get you allotment. Th counselling process is seamless smooth and online. However you need to be present physically while document verification .

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Mechanical engineering in college. Because I had love and interest towards cars. I loved engines, their rev sound. The faculty here are highly qualified and possess immense knowledge. You just need to feed your curiosity by harnessing their knowledge. The average batch size in every department is 55:45.The faculty are MTech and Ph.D. holders from reputed institutions like IIT and NITs. The sem exams happen as they are scheduled and you will be notified atleast1 a month before that. There would be internals and lab viva voce, lab tests before semesters. Once these are done, semester exams take place

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities are pretty average. You need to try out your connections, referrals and sources to get internships in your prefinal year. However, some companies hold competitions, through which you are offered internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

At the end of the 6th semester, companies start visiting the campus. Basic eligibility is 7cgpa to sit for placements. However, arrears criteria vary. Some allow 1-2 backlogs. A total of 200+ companies visit and make around 450+ offers on average every year. The highest package in 2017 was by Microsoft,40 LPA followed by CRED, 37 LPA. The average package lies around 5lpa for every year. Till the end of 8thsem, around 90% get placed. Rest others have general plans for higher studies or preparing for UPSC/competitive exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty decent. Being a government funded college, you are charges just 15600/- per semester .There are however no concession for reserved category. Hostel costs you around 10000 per year for room rent, and mess fees are separate. It depends on how much you consumed. Basic meal fees of 21 days a month is compulsory.

Campus Life

4.5

notification will be out and will be open for a few days. You can avail the whole set of books for the whole semester or buy by paying 10-20%of MRP. The program of availing complete set free of cost is only for those who are not financially strong or belong to a reserved category. Classrooms are nice and have basic requirements like fans, proper lights, and desks. There are many clubs, which you can join. Each department has its clubs, however, you can join any clubs that interest you.

Hostel Facilities

5

The rooms allotted were of double or triple sharing, based on which building you are allotted to. The menu was flexible as the mess was run by the student committee. You were given the option to suggest or make changes to the existing menu at the start of every semester. There were separate committees for each hostel. The food was good. You would be allotted hostels during admission.
