Remarks

The admission process is very simple no cut-offs are required. Anyone can apply to this college and take admitted after seating CET ( Common Entrance Test). This test is only the formality of getting enrolled in the university. The ranking does not matter. Different types of new courses are available in this college which is very interesting and job-seeking.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Term exams are dependent on a university. If one studies he or she can easily pass it with great marks. Papers almost come from the syllabus and the university does not delay to take them. One in July or August and the second in December or January.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Yes, internships are offered by the college, and that is also in big corporate offices. But all of those are unpaid internships and that is a big problem for all students. I must say a basic amount should be paid to the students for travel and food expenses. After doing a lot of work that small amount is the part that boosts the student to be more dedicated.

Placement Experience

2

A student with good marks can get a moderate placement. Starting the package is quite low but gradually increases. Being a student of the college, I have not taken any placement opportunity from the college as before to that I have got a better opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college is moderate with basic amenities. Fees are comparably low than other colleges. No stipends or scholarship programs are availed. But college authorities are co-operative and understand the problem of a student.

Campus Life

2.5

The College library is developed with all books that are required for the respective courses. As a student of media science, I must say no advanced gadgets are available in college. That becomes difficult. Small groups are there that are run by the students and that also get engaged in different social work.

The placements are very good for BTech students. As I don't know much about Mtech but M.Sc placements are also good not too good but average. BTech has the best placements because many companies offer them job as this college is NIT level college.

If the student is quite serious to go for a PHD after completing his MSc from here, I would say it is a great choice but if one is looking for the option to explore some other field after completing his MSc from here, I wouldn't recommend of getting a degree from here.

The syllabus structure of KU is totally based on the IIT JAM exam syllabus. That helps students very much in future preparation for Ph.D. Also KU offers special classes for competitive exam preparations including SPSC or UPSC as well as helps to get placements in the private sector. And professors are very highly qualified they can teach this syllabus in depth and with care

Course Curriculum Overview:

The program curriculum encompasses Biological Sciences as well as it could have been. It is very elaborate comprising every branches from Instrumemtation and Methodologies to Cell Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology for that matter. You are ought to have three theory papers and two practical and Grand VIVA papers each semester with a total of 4 semesters over two years. In the last semester, you need to prepare your dissertation. The papers include all the basic concepts and their applications and demands hard hours. I believe the syllabus can be relaxed a bit and the number of papers per term expanded and compartmentalised so as to reduce the load of individual papers. All the faculties are very supportive and Friendly and appreciate doubts and queries always.
