Remarks

All students who have done their 12th with medical or non-medical are eligible for the entrance exam of PAU i.e common entrance test. There is a total of 80 seats for BSc(Hons.) Agriculture, out of which 40 are reserved for different categories like SC, ST, OBCs, etc and the rest are for the general categories. The fee for the entrance test is Rs. 7000. Admission process is very fine. No amendment is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my interest in plant sciences and my passion to serve the farmers of my country. Faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:15. All the teachers are highly qualified with a doctorate degree in particular fields. The teaching method is completely practical as there are lots of fields and each field is assigned to a particular professor, who is conducting his research. Exams are held at a monthly interval and are not much difficult to pass.

Placement Experience

3

Students are applying for placements in the last semester and they are informed about companies through mail by placement cell. Highest package is 6.5 lacs per annum and average is 3 lacs per annum. Around 50% of the students gets placed. After degree I will try for government job in agriculture field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for the course is 40000/yr. However, there is a merit scholarship assigned to students who are performing well. Apart from this, students who belong to weaker sections have to pay nothing. I was awarded a merit scholarship in the 1st year for my good performance.

Campus Life

4

Every year a youth fest is conducted in the month of October in which students from different colleges participate and a guest is invited for prize distribution. Apart from this annual function is also conducted in the month of January in which all the sports students are given awards. PAU library is made very efficient. It has 3 floors and all kinds of books related to academics and non-academics are available and the sitting arrangement is also very good. Air conditioners and computers are also present. In classrooms, projectors are available. For sports, University has well maintained stadiums like hokey stadium, cricket stadium, football stadium along with well trained coaches. Extracurricular activities include debate, art, slogan writing competitions for which students are awarded by the Dean. University has students welfare group that is run by students whose function is to financially aid weak students and to raise important issues for students' welfare.

As time to time workshops are conducted related to trending topics in the every university.( skill development, Cv prepration etcs. since i am also the 3rd year student well university provides/ feels different vibe when other people just speak achievements of your university. the improvement in curriculum should be done on the basis of requirements of students.

Placements are not better but as compare to other colleges it is good according to the less fee structure .The highest salary package is offered with 8LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. If you are getting admission for the placement so this is not the college for you.
