Remarks

Pros: 1.Good for those who are little academically weak(ease of admission). 2.Located at almost central Bangalore. 3.Locality is comparatively cheap(Room rent and all) 4.Decent level of placements Cons: 1. Not a great campus 2. No personal sports ground 3. The quality faculty is rare. 4. Not much focus on co-curricular activities

Entrance Preview

Earlier there was something called COMEDK but now I think it all through AIEEE, this not some category a,b college so a decent or even passing in the AIEEE exam should get you in. If not then there's always "THE MANAGEMENT QUTA"

Course Curriculum Overview

3

As far as the course is concerned they run strictly according to VTU, which is one of the best universities in south India. The course is well defined according to the branch. But the curriculum hardly runs accordingly. They do not provide the course material from their own, either you need to borrow from the library or buy it from the bookstore or get it xeroxed.

Internships Opportunities

The engineering department does not provide internship though they have their owned and very famous dental college/hospital in the same vicinity where I suppose they offer internships

Placement Experience

2.5

if you maintain an overall good academics and are talented enough you should get placed. Placements aren't that large scale or huge but companies like Infosys, TCS have picked students from here. Besides very few or limited MNCs college is able to pull in many other small or big IT/Non-IT firms for placements.

College Events

1.5

Besides college day and sports day, there isn't much to be celebrated within this college though students take part in various cultural and fun activity held across many colleges in Bengaluru. There is no or very little effort/encouragement from the management for such activity, though students within themselves arrange for things and enjoy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are highly competitive given the fact that college does lie in almost central Bangalore. For management students Fees structure is what they can fight for, especially if you are not-Banglorian. For locals or for people coming through various govt quota it's hardly 30-60k per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, they have their ties with the banks like PNB, so loan processing is an ease. But there are certain drawbacks to it. firstly they'll charge huge secondly who know knows you may get a better deal if you try fro your own local area bank.

Campus Life

2

Did you say campus, there isn't actually a pre-defined campus, its in the middle of a residential society and open from all side with no defined boundary except the main gate. The Rajiv Gandhi group of institution comprises of almost 5-6 colleges. And all their colleges are put in the same place.TO my surprise their dental college it one of the top colleges in India and also have international students(especially from the Arabic country, don't know why) So if you talk about activities withing one institute there aren't many but all the RG colleges put together makes it a happening place.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel is decent if not best they are located well within the campus enabling hosteler to just wake up and walk in their classroom/Labs. Rooms are not fully furnished but we do have basic amenities like bed, table, chair, wardrobe., on twin sharing basis. Thins like the bathroom, toilets, RO filter are common on every floor.

Alumni/Alumna

Alums whether from any college any institutes are always up for help in any way required. Though sometimes we reach a certain height that we forget where we had begun from.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted semester wise with final exams at the end of each even semester. They also have internal conducted almost every 2 months and best of two are considered for the final mark sheet. The semester exam dates(Set by VTU) are highly sophisticated and there are chances that it may get postponed.

Admission

I had missed on the COMEDK current year exam so, I had to be in by management quota. It's like they will ask for a donation as if they are some IIT's (2-10Lacs), but instead, you can get easily for as low as 30K(Which off course I came to know after taking admission for 1Lac).

Faculty

2

The HOD levels and the senior faculty are tremendously good and way knowledgeable, hence most of them leave after few years.(But none left ). The other teacher/professor level faculties can be as young as a student from the final year(But thankfully they only take MTech/MSc as faculty)

During the last year i.e, 7th semester palcements used to come and depending on our eligibilty we attented the interviews. My plans after the degree completion was to do software courses and join in software company because i did electrical and eletronics engineering.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNSIT are decent and consistent, especially for CS-related branches. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts training programs including aptitude tests, coding practice, mock interviews, and soft skills sessions to prepare students. Many reputed companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and some product-based companies visit the campus. The highest package in recent years has gone above 20 LPA (mostly for CS/IT related roles), while the average package ranges between 4–6 LPA depending on the branch. Most offers are for roles like Software Developer, System Engineer, Analyst, and Associate Engineer.
