Remarks

College management and everything else does not matter as long as they provide placements with packages which they don't. So even though I had a good experience with my college I wild not suggest this place for people who are really interested in placemen

Entrance Preview

KEE, 2009 Bioinformatics was my choice of course at Karunya University. 4 years at this place has been a wonderful journey indeed. Admission process was quite well planned and we didn't have to wait long for anything.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

Course curriculum should definitely be updated and needs to include work friendly material.Faculty are pretty good but if the course does not have sufficient details to help with finding a job and be able to cope with it, it surely doesn't make much sense.

Internships Opportunities

I did not have any internship or stipend during the course of my study. However I chose to do it with an external organization which was a great learning experience.

Placement Experience

0.5

Only software companies had come for the placements. All the core companies that had come had a very low package of 2.4 lakh per annum. Software companies offered around 3 lakh per annum. We had only 2 software companies that had come for the placements.

College Events

1

We do have a number of technical, cultural and managements festivals and I can assure you they truly are real fun. They come as an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and talents and you surely will be rewarded for the same! There are also hostel festivals as this is a residential college. These are amazing too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure can be termed as pretty high for the standards of this college. Although the hostel facilities and the mess food are pretty decent, the cost of these can be termed as overpriced. Especially when you consider the package that companies have to offer for this university.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had taken an education loan with my bank. Considering the placement and the package offered, it was not worth it.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio differs depending on the course of study. For instance, mechanical sciences would have a higher number of male students whereas biological sciences have a higher number of female students. Departments like ECE and EEE have an equal number of male and female students.

Alumni/Alumna

It depends solely on the student's interest and involvement in taking up such. As such there is an anti ragging policy and I have not faced any such trouble from seniors at my college.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs weren't really hectic and if you plan it out well enough you can easily ace it.The syllabus is not too difficult as long as you attend all the classes and do some preparation well in advance. Also all the material will be provided by the st

The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Many staffs work on the placement. Hence the placement is average . They provide interships and consider it as placement. Hence take a person with intern offer from the database. But only few finally get the employement offer and offers left unemployed.
