My review about NIT Patna

For admission, one must pass Jee Main with a 96.5 percentile or higher in the general pool for both the home state and the other state. NIT provides courses in CSE, ECE, electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering. Also suitable for B-Arch and integrated MCA. The home state receives 50% of the seats, with the girls receiving 15%.

Term exams were of mid-semester and end-semester types in the gap of 3 months. The difficulty was not that tough because they will ask you how many things you have studied in the classroom. If you studied the notes properly, you have done more than enough. So don't worry about exams.

Many companies offer internships after the 2nd or 3rd year. You can get better experience after getting an internship from the companies that come here. You can do big projects after getting internship experience here.

After the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies, like Amazon, Adobe, etc., It comes every year and offers a nice package to eligible students. Every year, nearly 50 companies pay a visit. CSE students got the maximum package and offers here, followed by ECE. The highest package in the 2021 year was 1.60 crore, which was an off-campus placement, but when we talk about on-campus placement, the maximum package was also 42 lakhs. The average salary is ten lakhs. Almost all CSE students got placed this year. The CSE and ECE placements are really excellent here. But there are few placements in core branches.

The fee structure is approximately Rs. 125000 for the general category, but you will be eligible for a scholarship based on your category. This college has a lot of campus job opportunities, and it all depends on your talent. If you have talent, you can get a package of more than 40 lakhs.

Life on campus is nice. You will definitely enjoy your 4 years at this college. There are many technical and cultural events organized regularly. The annual fest of NIT Patna is "Corona and Mlange", which is organized in the month of January every year. There is a central library in which more than 20,000 books are present. There is a big ground in NIT Patna where all the outdoor games are played. There are many clubs that you can join according to your interests and passions.

The hostel facility is good. Almost all the students got hostels. But local students may not find the hostel. Meal facilities are also good. You will get a good meal here. Registration for the hostel is done when you come for physical verification after the JoSSA counselling process. After the first year, you will be shifted to the newly built Brahmaputra hostel. In the 1st year, you will get a SONE hostel.

The only way to get into this college is by giving a national level engineering entrance test, JEE Main. You will be assigned a branch in this college based on your JEE Main score. There are 90 questions in the JEE main, of which you have to attempt 75. 30 questions each from physics, chemistry, and math's. There are 30 questions in each subject, of which 20 are objective and 10 are subjective. You must attempt any 5 of the ten subjective.
