Good placement, average infrastructure and awesome hostel life

For admission, one needs to qualify to jee main with 96 percentile and above in general quota. Jee main appication form can be found on National Testing Agency(NTA) website. Here NIT provides courses in Computer science , Electronics and communication , Electircal, Mechanical, Civil engineering. Also for B Arch and Integrated MCA, 50% of the seat is reserved for the home state and 15% for girls.

Term exams are held every 3 months. There are 2 term exams in a semester, mid-semester and end semester. Passing exams is relatively easier if you want a decent CGPA. But in order to get a CGPA above 9, you need to study sincerely.

Students get internships in companies like Apple, Amazon, Paytm, HCL, Adobe, Syska, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM and many more companies every year with an average stipend of about 40 to 50 thousand per month. Many of them get pre-placement offers(PPO).

From the 6th semester, students start getting an internship and pre-placement offers(PPO). Around 95% of students are placed every year. Many students are planning for higher education, some are going for entrepreneurship and some for MNCs.

Total fees for B Tech are around 8 lacs for students whose family income is above 5 lacs per annum. For students with family, income is between 1 and 5 lacs, their total fees are around 4.5 lacs and for those whose family income is below 1 lakh, their total fees are around 2 lacs.

There are several social groups and clubs running in NITP right now such as NSS which promotes social welfare for the poor. There are some technical clubs like ASME, IEEE, and SAE which help us to gain technical knowledge and are helpful for internships and placements. There are 2 main fests held every year in our college i.e., CORONA & MELANGE. Central Library is well equipped with a great number of books and has an AC facility available. There are several sports facilities provided on our campus like badminton, cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball., squash and many more.

There are 3 seater and 2 seater rooms for 1st-year students. 1 bed, 1 chair and 1 study table are provided to every student. Common facilities in a room are fans, tube lights, wifi routers, WLAN etc. Mess food is decent, veg and non-veg both are served to students. The hostel is allotted at the time of admission.
