The university has a good management, all the issues are resolved in time.

There is no entrance examination but an interview for the candidates who have scored less than 80% in the board examination. The rest get a direct admission without an interview.

The Department offers Bachelors programs with honors in French, German and Spanish. Apart from these languages, Japanese, Chinese and Urdu as side languages. There is no higher study program. There are 10 papers each semester out of which 4 are core courses in the specific languages and rest are to add up credits like Communicative English and Behavioral Science.

The Department does not arrange internship but it is mandatory to do an internship before the fourth semester, i.e., after the final examination for the 3rd semester.

The placement cell offers jobs to students of the 6th semester in companies like Amazon and Accenture as foreign language experts.The in-campus placement takes place in the month of March and 40% students get placed because most of them opt for higher studies in different Indian and international universities.

Amity University hosts a central fest called Amity Youth Fest or AYF in the month of February each year. Each Department organises their own set of performances and competitions. ASFL organises an event called Dramatico which has dance, drama, painting, quiz and other competitions.

The fee is 28000 INR a semester in the non-sponsored category and 42000 INR in the sponsored category. Apart from this the university takes a security deposit of 20000 INR which is refundable.The sponsored and non-sponsored category depends on more than 60% and less than 60% in +2 respectively.

There is 100% fee waiver for students who have scored 93% and above in their +2 and to continue that in the next 2 years they have to be in the top 5% of the department merit list.

Amity University has a very diverse crowd with students coming from all parts of the country. Most of the festivals are celebrated in the campus for the hostelers like Onam, Bihu and Holi. There are dance and drama groups which are mostly individual and come up during fests.

The campus has 6 hostels for students of the university which are available on first come, first serve basis. The rooms are AC as well as non-AC with basic facilities. All the buildings have a canteen as the hostels do not serve individual meals. Apart from that there are food joints like Domino's, Subway and a few more.

I haven't had any interaction with the alumni but the seniors are helpful. Some of them are really good in the subject and help weak juniors in their free time.

The semester is usually hectic with assignments and internal assessments which count for 30% of the total credit. External exams take place once at the end of each semester and count for 70% of the credits. Exams are relaxed with long study gaps. The results usually come out after a month of the exam.

Admissions open in the month of May and last till July. Candidates can fill the online form which is available on the Department's website www.amity.edu/asfl , the notifications are sent through email and text message for and the interview slot can be chosen from a list of available dates.

The faculty is the best part of the entire course. They are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them are graduates and research scholars from prestigious universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University and have the best methods to teach foreign languages. Each one
