The admission in this college is strictly based upon your Jee Advance rank and the applicant can fill an online form to register for the admission procedure. After getting selected, you will be informed either by call or by mail. After the mail has been received, you will have to be physically present at the college premises on a particular date for document verification.

The courses and curriculum of our institution are very modern and up-to-date. The courses taught are deeply interconnected, which makes the concepts of our students conceptually clear. For this reason, our curriculum is appreciated in the oil and gas industry. Also, one other factor which makes our curriculum good is that we have all the major PSU helping us to design, develop and update our curriculum.

Following the rules set by AICTE, the students of pre-final year are given an opportunity to work in a respected core industry for their industrial training. Petroleum engineering students receive industrial training at various ONGC assets across India, while chemical engineering students have the opportunity to work at Saint Gobain, HPCL, IOCL, GAIL, ONGC, and ISRO. the students have a chance to get internships in several analytics companies in their first 3 years, with an average stipend of RS. 25,000 per month with the option of PPO at the end.

The Placements of India Institute of Petroleum and Energy are going great. This year we got more Placements offers than the number of students applied this is all because the work that our Career Development Cell has done. In just 3 batch we have students working in all of the Major PSU in India. This year we have a average package of around 970000 Rs. and we all most achieved the target 100 % Placements.

The fees structure in IIPE is same as of IIT or NIT there is not much difference. The fee is around 80,000 per sem and the hostel fee is 25000 per sem. There is also 100 % scholarship for EWS students who have a family income of less than 100000.

We are currently having a temporary campus. With hopes of getting a permanent campus in the near future also we are having an excellent availability of books and journals in our library. All our classroom are smart classroom with proper air conditioning systems. Also there are lots of interesting clubs which a student can join.

The hostel at IIPE Vishakapatnam are quite luxurious as compared to other Government institutions. Our hostel has both AC and Non-AC rooms with attached bathroom. The hostel are more like hotel room. Also the location of hostel are also very good.
