Entrance Preview

KCET exam is compulsory for admission in engineering colleges and it is also necessary to get minimum 50% marks in higher secondary also. I got 2600 ranks and got admission in this college in civil engineering Stream.

Placement Experience

College Provides placement opportunity for all the students of all stream and every year a lot of companies come to campus for placement and no. of the companies is increasing year by year some of the companies are Infosys, Infinite, Outsource, pratiyan and ibm also with the average package of 2 to 3 lakhs.

Our college has an amphitheater where all the festivals are organized like National women's day, Independence day, Convocation ceremony etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the college is not so high, it is around 30 to 35 thousand per annum this is tuition fee, college also charge some other fees also, some of them are transportation fee, laboratory fee, library fee, sports fees so at last it becomes around 35000 and for complete course it is around 1 and half lac.

College also provides scholarship opportunities for bright students according to their financial status, academic excellence and social status, apart from financial help college also sponsor students for study loans.

Hostel Facilities

I was day scholar student for my first 2 years then I moved to hostel on 3rd year because I don't want to spoil my college life hostel life is really a good experience that i can never forget.

Exam Structure

Exam structure in all the mba colleges is usually same, there are exams in each semester, first semester is usually chilled out but subsequent semesters goes hectic as it builds pressure to score good marks because good marks are very important to obtain good placement opportunities.

Faculty

Faculty of the college are very helpful, they help us in every situation of our academic life. HOD of all the departments are very experienced and hold ph.d. degrees, but other faculties are new but they also have good qualifications.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

I chose this college by mistake as this college is mentioned in top 10 colleges in Bangalore or top 20 in some sites... The facilities are shit and I didn't know about it before I came to this college. Admission process is simple and doesn't take much time. Eligibility is to have atleast 45% in PU or boards.
