Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is actually pretty good. As most of the colleges in Bangalore are affiliated to VTU just like Gopalan so not much difference is there. Curriculum is very much designed to prepare the students for real life and give them atleast few set of skills before graduating. Course is already good but the teaching methods can be improved as the professors can be more interactive to students and can adapt to smart teaching systems quickly. The internal assessments exams are in a month gap each month for 3 times in a semester and then a semester end exam for a month. Each subject is consisting 5 modules and the internal assessments are prepared that way so the students can prepare for the tests well enough and grasp the knowledge as well.
Internships Opportunities
As I'm a first year student I don't much knowledge about this but through senior I heard and know that they do provide internships to everyone and there a project seminars as well They focus a lot on students building their skills and projects.
Placement Experience
Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for comedk students is as follows: First year - 224221 Second year - 220111 Third year - 220111 Fourth year - 225111 No hostel facilities for boys (it used to be there but the college discontinued the facility for boys this year 2024) For girls hostel fee - 84000 per year
Campus Life
This college doesn't hold any annual fest for students so students typically go to other colleges to attend fests and have fun. Library is quite good with a variety of books divided uniformly in sections. All classroom are CCTV supervised and has a smart board and teachers do use it. They check through CCTV if any student is using phone during classes and if they find out they cease there phone instantly and fine them. Sports facilities are shit.. they don't focus on sports at all, but if u r an enthusiast then u can still grow urself by finding like minded people. They do a sports fest every year. There are few clubs in college and they host events regularly. (Once or twice in a month or so)
Admission
I chose this college by mistake as this college is mentioned in top 10 colleges in Bangalore or top 20 in some sites... The facilities are shit and I didn't know about it before I came to this college. Admission process is simple and doesn't take much time. Eligibility is to have atleast 45% in PU or boards. They accept comedk, Kcet and has a management quota admission as well. Cutoff are none even if u have 1 lakh rank in comedk u can get ISE in the college.
Faculty
In terms of faculties, the college has few good teachers but mostly don't know what they are doing. They make fuss about everything, for people from north it's pretty hard as the teachers also pick on them. They will give sideeyes to students if they see a girl sitting with a boy. Guards are the worst. They meddle in everything, they are crazy. They will act like they own the place. The course is as per VTU affiliated 2022 scheme 50% from internals and 50% from the sem end exams. From internals, u get 15% from internal assessments and 10% from assignments and 25% is distributed between labs, viva and attendance. 75% attendance is mandatory. If not then they will charge u fine for it. Not much but still fine is there. There are 3 internal assessments each semester and labs every week with lab tests and viva at the end of the sem before sem end exams. Difficulty level is medium, if u study properly you can score full marks easily. Course curriculum is 80% relevant to the course plus few extra subjects to develop students personality. There's a sir called Arasu kumar.. I don't like him at all.. he doesn't know what he's teaching and he treathens students if he finds out they are from north india. And says to don't act so confident and with attitude.
Night Life
There are a lot of things to do near this college as it's in the city so everything is nearby but inside campus there's nothing. No night life in campus. Famous hangout places nearby are the lake, density, malls etc. There is a gym nearby and pg facilities as well
