Remarks

It has improved from past two years in placements and infrastructure. There are more events which help students in their academics as well as ethnicity, and cultural manners, which help them build better bonds with others students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is mostly theory based, as based on the curriculum structured by VTU, usually the exams do get a little hectic, like the theory exams, because it gets tougher as the year passes by. Mostly the 4 subjects and getting a year back gets very hectic as well.

Placement Experience

4

They have improved from past two years, and we are getting more and more companies into our Colleges thru which students are getting more confidence. And internships are also provided by the Traning and Placement Wong.

College Events

3.5

Sports day, tech fest, cultural festival, ethnic day, independence day, yoga day, freshers day, teachers day, engineerings day and many more festivals which allow students to come together and enjoy the festivities

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feesible, the course is feesible as it can be taken up for an educational loan easily by students, without keeping in any loan of any sort. Compare to many autonomous Colleges which take up huge amounts for the same curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, scholarship for the general merit students is offer by VTU, but only for other category students get the benefit of scholarships, mostly based of on their marks and their family background on how much they earn.

Campus Life

4

There is a sports complex which includes indoor and outdoor football, indoor and outdoor cricket, badminton court, gymnasium and swimming pool as well.any workshops are also conducted, to help students and teachers to understand each other.

Alumni/Alumna

It is good, alumni meets are conducted every year, mostly in the odd semester just after the freshers day which helps new students to connect with old students as well. This helps on growing better connections for the job opportunities.

Admission

I always wanted to get into automobiles. But didn’t get a chance, so I thought doing mechanical was a better choice so I could take it up in my post graduation. I wrote KCET, and thru the enrolment provers of KCET I got into Gopalan College of Engineering and Management

Faculty

3.5

They are good, they help students out individually, which helps them with their results at the run, they take up several tests to help us know where to put in more effort during the can preparation. This helps us know what is to be prepared for.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
