Remarks

Teachers should guide students properly. Staff should tell the students about the required documents and online admission form must be provided by college and the portal of online admission must be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because there is a vast opportunity in this field Faculty and students ratio is approximately on 40 students there is one teacher. Faculty is pretty caring and very nice to students. They are pretty much qualified

Internships Opportunities

2

I think in case of internship the college is not that good because they suggest paid courses for internship and I think if anyone wants to get internship he/she have to work by themselves because for internship depending on this college is not a good option

Placement Experience

3.5

College provides campus placements. There are many companies like Wipro, Infotech, byju's etc for CSE student college provide 90 percentage of placement.they also provides extra courses for placement . I am also interested in the opportunities provided by the college

Fees and Financial Aid

This college also provides the scholarship to bright students and there is a scholarship provided by state government to schedule cast students and one more scholarship is provided by state government which is known as fee waiver

Campus Life

3.5

There are lot of books in the library. Each department has its own library books are available. College also provides the opportunity to the students in the field of sports. College also organises the extra curricular activities

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh group of colleges | Btech CSE

Because this college was not good for CSE

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
