Pros and cons of MANIT Bhopal

Admission to this college is through JEE MAINS examination. You have to be 12th pass to be able to sit in this examination. You can appear for MAINS in the same year and two subsequent years Generally, the examination form comes around January and the application form is 600-700 rupees. You can appear for the exam two times a year. The result will be declared somewhere around June and the counseling process will start after the declaration of the result of JEE Advanced around October. The counseling process will be of about 1 month in which you can get your branch according to your rank.

Mechanical engineering is a fascinating branch in which there is a lot of scopes. You can do core engineering as well as coding if your wish. The mechanical branch is the oldest in MANIT and has the biggest infrastructure and no. of faculties in college. All the faculties here are highly qualified in their respective fields. Most of the teachers are P.hd holders and many are from IITs. You will get the semester schedule at the beginning of the semester and the schedule will be strictly followed according to that. Comin to exams, they are quite difficult but you can easily score if you pay attention in class Or study 1-2 hours every day.

Internship opportunities are available in this college. Most students start looking for internships in 2nd year and 3rd year. The more the no. of internships you take, the better your CV for placements. You can also look for internships on your own and get good opportunities.

The campus placements are the perks that make this college very attractive to students. The average package is higher than most NITs. Most big companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, L&T, and Microsoft visit here. The core branch placements in this college are also very good. The tuition fee is 70000/ per semester and hostel &mess charges are 35000/ per semester approximately. The estimated cost for 4 years including everything is about ten lakh rupees. You can easily get a scholarship if you are from M.P. or reserved category. Your cost of studying will be very low if you come under the above-mentioned categories.

College life is very good in this college. Some of the other activities keep going on every day or other. Cultural society ROOBAROO organizes the cultural fest Maffick every year and Technsearch is the Techfest here. The library is big and you will be able to get whichever subject you want to read. The literature and humanities section is also rich apart from the science section. Also, there is a digital library in which you can study on a desktop. The sports Complex includes most of the games. There are also cricket grounds, football grounds running tracks, etc for you to remain fit. Recently a Tennis court has also been made. There are about 15 -16 clubs in MANIT in which you can explore your interests in various fields. These fields are multivariate from dancing club to entrepreneurship club and from debating society to Coding club.

The rooms given to you will be triple seater in the first year though it is made up for two only. The facilities in the room given to you will be chairs, tables, beds, and a cupboard. There are no A.C. or cooler rooms available but you may install a cooler on your own in summer. The menu will be decided by students only through a mess committee formed by students. The meal quality is overall good. The cost will be around 35000 per semester.
