An honest overview

The admission was done through an entrance exam conducted by SRM itself SRMJEEE(SRM joint engineering entrance examination) through online medium. The pattern was like any other exam with the students being given a limited period to solve the given MCQs. The ranks and results were announced a few weeks later and then the counseling process started. Reservation was given to people belonging to ST, SC, and OBC categories. The application forms are available on the SRM official website along with the application fees and the important dates. The admission process was up to the Mark to ensure only deserving students went into the university

I chose CSE as in the present and nearby future it has the most scope for improvement and many companies usually go after computer science engineering graduates. The student-teacher ratio here Is around 1:60 The faculty is qualified and teach in an expressive manner which makes understanding concepts easier for the students The exams were of moderate difficulty, so if you were attentive during the classes you would be able to ace them. They were held in intervals of 1 month.

Some companies that have offered internships and stipends here have been dhobi-G, Microsoft, Google, and other big MNCs They first give training to the new people before giving them work so the students get accustomed to a new sort of lifestyle of work.

From the 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements Some companies that have visited this college in the past were Infosys, IBM, amazon, etc. The highest package according to my knowledge has been around 42 lac The college has a good percentage of student placements. I plan to get good placements and then maybe pursue my masters In a foreign college

The fee structure here is less as compared to other top private universities in the country so that is a plus point. They have a record of good placements as well. Being in our first year we have been offered programs like the google cloud program to broaden our horizons.

The annual tech fest and fest are conducted at the main campus which is Milan and Aarush. They are usually held in march-April The classrooms on my campus don't have a lot of amenities except a smartboard. Being an open campus ramapuram doesn't have any sports facilities however students go to the nearby turfs or academies for sports. As far as extracurriculars are concerned ramapuram has clubs like CodeChef, logically, and campus life that provide a good technical and nontechnical experience to the new students. Frequently students of different departments hold events which include technical and nontechnical events that award prizes to the winners

The hostel here has most of the necessities like hot water, AC, wifi, and electricity (with a backup supply) so my hostel life is quite comfortable. The meal is usually average and sometimes the students order food from outside or skip meals, the registration process of the hostel was to directly talk to the admin in charge and boom the room as they were on a first come first serve bases.
