FSM - The land of opportunity

Starting off from CAT the minimum percentile or cutoff percentile was 85.5 while I secure 92 percentile post clearing cut off there were BAQ, essay writing followed by personal interview and extempore. The process was smooth and form fees was also minimal in comparison with other Bschools.

The curriculum at FSM was very rigorous followed by case studies and regular assignments for continuous evaluation. Projects were allocated in groups every semester. Mid term and final exams used to be lengthy. Faculties taught basics well and focused on practical learning instead of theoretical.

All the students are provided internship opportunities. I was offered a comprehensive amount for my stipend despite a few cancellations of offer letters due to the pandemic. The companies that visit campus for final placements also hire for internships thus creating chances for PPI and PPO. Average stipend is close to 10K per month.

Almost all of the batch was placed before closure of the academic year thus ensuring 100% placement of students. There is no bifurcation in terms of placement for different courses. Average package ranged from 8-10 L PA. All the major companies do visit campus for recruitment.

The fee structure at FORE was simple and the team at FSM understood pain points during the pandemic as well. Thus extending the deadline for instalments for students. Multiple scholarships were there and a 3 month programme for students to visit Rennes School of Business as part of the exchange programme.

FSM has more than 21 committees, SIG's and COE's. Fests happen annually and multiple DU colleges are invited as well. Sports and extracurricular activities are provided throughout the year and act as a stress buster. Cricket, football, and table tennis are a few sports to be named.

GD was eradicated in the process. The personal interview was not that grilling as the panellists wanted to know us more than other B-schools. Written test was in form of essay writing on current technology followed by a BAQ where it was related to current Business news only.
