All about NIT Patna

NIT Patna offers a four-year duration BTech program in six specialisations. Admission to the BTech programme is offered through JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates who are allotted seats in NIT Patna through JoSAA counselling need to apply online through the official website of NIT Patna. The total fee range for the NIT Patna BTech programme is Rs 5,29,100 - Rs 5,50,000.

Based on my rank, I was offered EEE at NIT Patna so I chose so. Faculty:Student :: 1:5 Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are themselves pass-outs of NITs and IITs. Term exams were delayed due to covid situation and for students who have attended classes regularly, it was pretty scoring.

About 443 placements were provided by more than 40 companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc. Many students got an internship in foreign companies with a healthy stipend. Many of them got into research projects in research labs or universities.

Placements are improving every year. In recent placements (2021) batch, overall placement percent was 80%. For EE department, it was 70%. Many students target software roles. The highest package was 30 lpa, the lowest 5 lpa and avg was 8 lpa. Top recruits include godrej, oyo, Paytm, Deloitte, Mindtree, Zs Associates, American express etc. Internship opportunities are less in comparison to other Nits. College helps students in getting internships. Recently a girl from my college got placed in Facebook with 1.6Cr Package.

NIT patna has a small campus as compared to other NITs as it is around 45 acres. Almost all basic things are present within the campus like canteen, Nescafe spot, playground, basketball court, ATM… Fest in NIT Patna is awesome..... Sports events are regularly occuring in college. Number of clubs are present for students to engage and develope in.
