BIMTECH: Review of a 2 year learning experience.

Due to COVID-19, my admission process was online. The process was very smooth. Eligibility is based on the score of the different competitive exams (CAT/XAT/CMAT, etc) The form was available on their website and navigating through it was easy.

PGDM Retail in BIMTECH provides good industry exposure through On Job Training, Industry Visits, Short term projects and industry insights by experts. The faculties are very well qualified and are ready to help. The padagogy used for teaching is interactive but can be improved. Though I feel that the curriculum design can be improved.

The students become eligible for campus placements during trimester V. The placement status is good. Top companies visit the college for the placement process. Almost 99% of the batch got placed. The highest package offered was 24 LPA and the lowest was 6.75 LPA. The Placement cell is fully responsible for the placement process and training.

Our course fees in now hiked to1100000 which is bit high, but they do provide with a lot of industry exposure and training programs. SC/ST category gets financial benefits under different schemes. The scholarship is given on a merit basis of Rs. 50000 and 25000 to the two toppers of the respective courses

The campus life at BIMTECH is amazing. All the festivals are celebrated with great zeal. Other than the festivals there are a lot of sports fests, food fests, and college fests organised by various clubs and conduits. There are a lot of quizzes, debates, etc organised at regular interviews. The college is equipped with all the sports facilities and has a well-equipped library. The students also get newspapers in their room.

Since BIMTECH is a residential college, so opting for college is compulsory. The hostel room and facilities are really nice. The rooms are available on a single and sharing basis. The hostel is equipped with all the basic facilities. The food is hygenic and great in taste. The menu is made keeping in mind the taste preferences of students from all over the country.

Due to the online interview process, there was no GD but an extempore on an abstract topic. The interview was very smooth there were questions related to my background, educational qualification, interest, GK, etc. The criteria for admission are based on the score of competitive exams, graduation, 12th and 10th along with the performance in the interview.
