ICRI Mumbai, Clinical Research

Remarks

I would never recommend this college as it did not help me. The course offered was good but overall it was very bad. No campus, no canteen, no placements, nothing. No hostel

Entrance Preview

Institute has its own entrance exam and I cleared it. I chose Clinical research as it is a field which helps in developing new medicines which saves lives.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

It was affiliated to Cranfield University, UK. Course was very good. We had different modules and were asked to submit thesis, approval of which will generate my MSc degree.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship and no stipend offered. Fees for this course is also high hence I would not recommend anyone to opt for this. There are multiple courses offered however standard has degraded.

Placement Experience

0.5

There was no placement provided by college. It promised however never had any placements. Professors were helping outside college to get us placed but hardly a few students got through.

College Events

0.5

There were few days that were celebrated but I was not interested to be a part of those. There was no annual day or similar event though. They should have organised bigger events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was ultra expensive. I had to pay 5 lakh for this and it was not worth it. The course was good however it should have been cheaper.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, Loan facility was there but no scholarship was offered. It was very difficult to pay this amount and not get returns.

Campus Life

0.5

There was no campus. It was a very small college with hardly any facilities. It was one of the few colleges which provided this course, the reason why many opted for this.

Faculty

3

I had mixed faculty. professors were from India and UK. They all helped to learn Clinical Research in detail which is helping me in my job as well. However it could have been better.

Placement Experience:

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

While searching on internet I got to know about this course that's where I earned interest for this course that made choose this course. The practical knowledge shared by the faculty at their best helps for real life applications but still practical knowledge is gained beyond college course pattern which can be gain in internships. By providing more practical knowledge beyond the theory part of the course may help students greatly by learning real life experiences. Exams are usually held by morning at the college timing (9:30 am).

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are campus placements but my seniors are yet to get placed. Since we are secknd batch of data science we don't know much about how is the placement for data science students. There are good placements for bms students. I will be doing master after this degree and won't opt for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the teachers who teach that. I had my siblings telling me that they love the way their teachers taught them. They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.
