Enriching Professional and Personal Experience

I feel lucky being part of G.J.U family. I was a changed personality when I pass out compared to when I joined my University. I use to miss my golden days spent in the campus. Thank you!!

I cleared GATE examination, with Score of 98.7 percentile. I did my graduation from this university and I was quite familiar with Professors, professional development opportunities, positive environment, and facilities for research work, which were available there. So, I decided to pursue my post graduate from this university. Admission process was very smooth as it was based on the all India rank of a candidate. I decided to opt for Pharmacology because of my interest in in-vivo and clinical research practices.

Course structure is quite good with a good mix of theoretical and practical work in first year followed by complete inclination towards the research work in second year. We had theoretical work during first year along with lab work but more of research work in the final year. Lab facilities are quite good. We had easily got approvals for animals and other chemicals required for our research work.

Since, I had qualified GATE examination. So, I was receiving scholarship from AICTE. However, my University was giving scholarship to the poor students based on their ranks and marks. Additionally, my department had various research projects through which one can earn while studying.

On-campus placement in my field was not that great. Most of the students approach to various companies and teaching institutes through their own assigned professors. Placement was overall 100%.However, my university have good on-campus facilities for B.TECH and management students. One student from printing technology was hired at a package of 1 CR by a US company.

Fee structure is very nominal because this is a government University. Additionally, fee was divided in bi-annually system. Additionally, poor students received flexibility in terms of fee exemption, scholarships for fees as well as books. Good library and free internet facilities provided us good support in terms of financial burden on our family.

As explained above, we use to have various technical and non-technical programs in University campus. We also had different sports teams, who took part in various national events and Inter University Athletic meets. Enough security was provided to all the female students along with open culture in the University campus.

Hostel facilities were great with good environment for studies blend with fun activities at various occasions. Hostels provide good facilities for general requirements e.g. WIFI, hot and drinking water, coolers in summer...etc.Mess facility was good becau

We have common platform for G.J.U Alumni and G.J.U Pharmacy Alumni via Facebook, where current students share details of current events and old students share details about job opportunities and/or other market updates.

We had semester system having very distributed course and labs works. Overall, lab/research work was once assigned then we had to continue based on our topic with help of assigned professors. Exam were conducted with reasonable gaps between various papers
