Remarks

College is having ample space of somethings 800 metres x 500 metres area, Big workshop for first year and mechanical students, Good road connectivity and to nearest railway station is baramati, Large number and good mixture of old experienced and new nergetic professors. Bad things, Local assent in conversation environment which is unsuitable for many candidates, Not too near to major cities such as pune or mumbai.

Entrance Preview

I had opted for MHCET Engineering Entrance examination in 2006 for the admission in Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. I had got 150 marks from 200 in MHCET entrance examination. As I was interested in Electronics subject and as I was very fascinated towards many invention the field of electronics, so I opted for the Electronics and Telecommunications courses. And the reason for opting this college is that firstly it has ample seats at that time it was approximately 120, second facilities here for my subject are second to none and also the college as large computer labs and library, third it fees structure is less than with compared to other colleges in pune university, fourth pune is a great place for electronics and embedded systems related companies for national and international fame, also pupils can opt for many facilities such as college or private hostels and mess at very reasonable price which suits your pockets.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course Curriculum is as per guided under Pune university an per UGC approved curriculum an cover up to date subjects of Embedded systems, VLSI, Voice communications, Automotive Electronics etc, with regular practicals and lab facilities. Faculty here is very friendly and good and also explains many topics in understandable languages for the local population. The HOD - head of department of Electronics and Engineering department decides about Curriculum and Course Development and is responsible for monitoring and promoting the ongoing process of curriculum development in engineering subjects with regard to general education, education in the major, and interdisciplinary studies Also for extra curriculum activities there are many sports and its ample grounds such as cricket, football, volleyball, basket ball, etc.

Internships Opportunities

An internship provides me direct experience of working in a particular role and is usually undertaken by those who know what type of job they want to do with us Internship helps in increasing your skills and knowledge, improving your understanding of a particular job or industry, gaining an insight into the way organisations operate and the challenges they face, and industrial communication networking. Inshort intern ship experience and training that I got it was very good and helps to improve my scope and understanding the market needs and how should I upgrade my shelf.

Placement Experience

3.5

Although college provides placements and job opportunities through their TPO- training and placement cell with annual company visit for oncampus and offcampus and also through combined campuses of more than two colleges.Companies that had visited or approached by above these placement process are infosys, bharti airtel, tech mahindra, kpit cummins, etc but unluckily I was not placed through college job placements because of 2009-2011 economics slag and many companies had not visited the campus but now environment of placements would have changed now and it could have upgraded more.

College Events

4

Noted college festivals are annual festivals such as chaitanya festival- annual college festival, techfest - intercollege technological and robotics competitions, cultural festivals, shivaji jayanti, etcIt is amusing and entertaining to simply sit and watch the colourful and vibrant individuals who turn up at college festivals. There is an intermingling of cultures and language, especially at the big college festivals. People from all over the city participate, and together they form such an exquisite and interesting bunch. One can befriend a person from the opposite end of the country, state and city, and this is possible, only in a college festival, which is amazing and makes college festivals a symbol of national integrity. Also for our entertainment college cultural festivals are great place for young populace, hot girls showing off their legs in mini skirts, pink cheeks both in desi and videsi attire are worth seeing in college festivals.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally doesn't know about the personal loans through my college but I am sure that there is annually one scheme form that is available through college which is provided by university for sc,st, obc candidates scholarships and students from reserved category candidates can approach for scholarships schemes also their is loan facilities will be there.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life in terms of meeting new people, it

Alumni/Alumna

Good and friendly for senior students, they guide us how to study for particular exams, they play with juniors like their friends most importantly juniors can get old second hand books from senior at reasonable price there is no ragging in college, seniors are also supporting this approach from college.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
