My review on Rayagada autonomous college

I'm a first-year BA student with English honours. My qualification required was the twelfth pass with a minimum of 59% marks. Anyone can fill application through the SAMS Odisha site. The availability of forms is announced through a notification on the sams site. Reservation benefits lie in hostel facility and scholarship availability. The admission process is rough. There is a single office window for at least 1000 students. In that way, document verification and other process consume a large amount of time during admission. There is no proper announcement of students' names during document verification. They should use at least a mic and a speaker. The admission process should take place in a large hall with at least 17 teachers.

Faculty members are well educated and fully experienced in their field. They provide quality teaching to students. They are very interactive with students. We haven't had the term exam yet, but we did appear for the first mid-term exam of 20 marks and it was quite easy to write. The proper revision was done by the teachers in class to help students remember everything.

Fees are probably fair during joining time but during semesters it's really high for BPL students like me. It's about 1500 rupees each semester. Compared with other colleges in our district it's pretty high. As it's an autonomous college there are no restrictions in fee structure by the government, I think personally. There are scholarships to help students like e-medhabruti and Post matric scholarship but due to some technical effect, my applied scholarship was cancelled even though I am an SC student. I am a BPL SC category student, my family has no proper source of income. My father is a small farmer. So for me, the admission fee and semester exam fee is very high. My parents work hard so that I could study. They relied on my scholarship for some help but I didn't get it.

The annual festival conducted here is parades on 26th January and 18th August, Ganesh puja, Saraswati puja, and an annual sports, games and cultural event meet named as Vasant Mahotsav. The condition of the library is worst. We cannot enter the library. If we want to issue a book, then we have to write an application and the name of that book and give it to the librarian through the window. That's the worst thing in the library. Students should be allowed inside the library to study, at least. the classrooms are in bad condition. There are only a few games named volley,kho-kho and cricket. There is a table tennis board but the college doesn't allow students to play TT. No clubs, no website, just WhatsApp groups created by teachers to circulate notice.
