Remarks
I would say the strength of the college is it's faculty and course curriculum and it's weakness it's location and to certain extent infrastructure. Though the alumni enjoys good position in reputed organisation that is not bringing easy placements in reputed organisation, it ends well but takes time.
Entrance Preview
XAT - 80 percentile. Clearity on my doubts, point to point discussion, no gas, XLRI association, looked promising.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was designed with lots of research and in association with XLRI, Industry requirement was key element. Case study, research were key part of the curriculum. Most cases were market relevent. Had a balanced view of academics and corporate world.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our internship was in the 2008 (mine was with Yes Bank, Private Equity). Mine was INR 25000 for 2 months, except for few almost all had good internship in terms of quality of work and fairly decent stipend considering the period and the fact that we where the first batch.
Placement Experience
We have had wide variety of companies banking, IT, retail, logistics, consultancy and average gross package worked around 5L p.a. Mine was 3L p.a. Companies to talk about PwC, ICICI Bank, Future Brands, IMS, Bertling Logistics, Axis Bank, Anil Ltd, Vodafone, TimesofMoney, SaintGobain.
College Events
We had 2 cultural program, KHOJ & Sparda (intra & inter college festival) and many entrepreneurial events in association with NEN, start was slow as we were first batch but things did catch-up. The events were small and could attract limited crowd from smaller nearby local colleges.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive from the other options as our college was a private unaided college. It was around 8 lakh for 2 yr full time residential program. Mess charges and other expenses extra. Though the quality provided was very good, so at the end of the day it was fine.
Fees and Financial Aid
Though no scholarship or loan facility was there at that time, but they helped few who found it real difficulty. They did had a tie-up later on, though I don't have much idea. I had parent financing the fees so did not try much for loan.
Campus Life
Campus life was great. I had a great batch, we studied hard, enjoyed parties with even more enthusiasm, attended and won lots of events. I almost add people from each state of the country (almost all states). M/F ratio was 7:3. 2 years well spent, something to cherish lifelong.
Exam Structure
Exam depending on faculty and subject deferred, open book to case study based, Viva to live projects. Some days were lighter, some very hectic. I have had given presentation as late as 3am (very early morning). There was no defined format, depending on the subject things deferred.
