Remarks
Any graduate student can apply for the course as i have done B.Sc from the same college in PCM and then opted for M.Sc in Mathematics. For admission Students have to take prospectus from the college for which they charge for about ?400-?500 and have to fill the anti ragging form which you can get from the near cyber cafe. The fees is to be paid in the bank which is in the college only but it takes ample amount of time as the queue of students is never ending and then you have to submit your form in the alloted class or department which is really exhausting. As in regards of reservation the college first gives priority to the Jainsa first then mostly the girls and also on the base of your caste. But your merit must also be good otherwise your application can also be rejected. The thing which i would like for the college to change is that they really exhaust the students as first going from one class to another and then the never ending queues.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is easy and teachers teach generally from the text books only. I chose Mathematics as i always loved ths subject and find it interesting so i wanted to learn the subject more deeper. Let's come to the faculty - The faculty of the college is well educated as all the permanent teachers are Ph.D holders. Alhought they all are highly educated but not all of them are ready to share their knowledge with the students while only a few of them teaches very good but they all are very helpful. In graduation like in B.Sc, B.Com ,BA etc. the exams are held annually whereas in the post graduation there is a semester system. It is very easy to pass in this college and you can pass with good marks by studying from model papers in the last 1 month before the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is very low as it is a government college. My fees for my 2 year M.Sc program was less than ?20000 and the same goes with the graduation courses. Although the fees is a little high for self finance courses. Overall the cost of study in this college is very low. Now being a gov. College it also provides annual scholarship wich was around ?4000-?5000 so at the end of the year you almost get half of the fees which you paid. But there are no jobs , no internships provided by the college which is a great drawback. This college is good only if you want to take a degree and not a job.
Campus Life
Life in the campus is boring. Generally students go their only to ahow their faces to the teachers i.e only for attendance which is infact almost 0 in the graduation courses. Library is good and you can take any book which you want for your curriculum and the maximum number of books which you can take is 3. The condition of sports section is also poor. The INFRASTRUCTURE of the college is Okay as compared to other gov. Colleges but classes are not very clean . Ground is very big and clean. Classrooms are well accommodated.
