Entrance Preview

AIEEE, I dont remember the score but I have got AIR 2987. Since it was a top NIT, I went for it. I chose EEE as my course as that is one the best over there.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculam is very vast and updated as per current technology trends. Even being in EEE I was taught all the concept of CSE, so that we could fit into software jobs.

Internships Opportunities

We didnt have compulsory internship during our time at college. And thus getting an internship was your own task, and general stipend during that time was 25-30k per month

Placement Experience

When it comes to placement you just cant beat NIT trichy. Average package for CSE was 10lpa and for core branches 6-8lpa. However facebook gave 145lpa as well. MS India gave 17 lpa.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a government college so it has very nominal fee structure. I paid like 3 lakhs in 4 years total including tuition fees and hostel fees, so you can imagine.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lot of scholarships being offered for students, like OP gems. You can easily avail education loan as it is a government institution.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a good alumni network. Seniors are helpful even after you pass out from college. We have NIT ReCal named alumni association. There is one alumni event being conducted in every manor cities at least once a year.

Exam Structure

There were cycle test every month and weekly 4 labs. Hectic weeks and weekends. However it depend on department as well. But things remain hectic.

Faculty

Faculty is quite good. They are old school type guys. But some of the profs really understand what industry today want from college freshers so they prepare us accordingly.

College with good environment, teaching and placements

Placement Experience:

On doing 6th semester companys are coming for placements. But most of the companys come in the 7th semester. There is a lot of companies come here like Embedur, Honeywell,Caterpillar,Zoho,Tcs, Accenture,Hcl,Ltimindtree,Cts,etc.. Around 75-85 percentage of students got offer. The Highest package is 20lpa amd lowest is 3.36lpa. I have to go to IT company for work.

About My University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I influenced by my friends who joined in this course ,later on I adjusted with it ,the curriculum prepares students in which they are capable to understand in their own way with which they build up projects and expos and many more events conducted by the other collages to participate in it. It is a tough situation to deal with it because the minimal gap between the sessionals is 1.5 month so for students it a stress to cover the syllabus of all subjects and with project works etc.
