Remarks

I feel there is a bit of internal politics. however they do not reflect upon the students. The faculty ensure that the students gain out of their teaching. They are easily approachable and friendly. Its more of a flat organisation where students need no appointments to meet anyone unless it the top most management. The infrastructure needs to improved. The currents facilities just meed our need and not our wants. There is value for money when it comes to academics, food and pleasant environment. But no value when it comes to infrastructure.

Entrance Preview

The only way to get into BIM, Trichy is to by taking CAT examinationI secured 78.6 Reasons why i opted for BIM are: It is within Tamilnadu It follows TN reservation norms100% placement record since inception Less Strenght-More attention-easier placents

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Tightly packed 6 trimesters with the last 3 based on electives. Highly practical approachLots of guest lectures and visiting faculties from related industry Students divided in committees to have real time management experiences. A two month internship period at the end of the 1st year based in an organisation based on the interest of the student

Internships Opportunities

Yes, BIM highly focuses on Internships and arranges for the same too.It guarantees the same in the reputed companies and in industry of the student's choice.Companies include Asian Paints, WCC, SBICAPS, HITACHI etcThe stipend ranges from NIL to Rs.60000 [for 2 months]The average stipend is Rs.30000

Placement Experience

4.5

BIM takes pride in offering 100% placement since inceptionAnd well yeah, it is 100% this academic year too Few get placed directly based on their internship performance[PPO]80-90% of the placements get done in two daysThe remaining get placed withing the next few daysthe companies that visit are Asian paints, TAFE, WCC, ICRA, SBI, HUL, CTS, Infy, Vedanta etc

College Events

5

There are around 12 committees & clubs each managed by10 students. Committees are generally service oriented while that of clubs are academic oriented. Each committee organizes around 3 events every years. thus there is lots of entertainment, fun, learning, practical application and knowledge sharing.apart from this, there are inter college events conducted like sanjeevini, athanaeum, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is a bit high for what is being offered infrastructure-wise.No compromise on the academics part. The fee including hostel, excluding mess and electricity bill comes to around 12L for the whole course. Mess bill varies based on food preferences from Rs. 2.5k to 5.5k/monththe mess is managed by the students and thus is a non profit service

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont think BIM has loan facility. Must be arranged on own. However the SBI branch @ Thiruvembur offers collateral-less loan of upto Rs. 20L for students enrolled in BIM.The other branches may provide too.

Campus Life

3

Academics and extra-curriculars are best managed BIM. There is complete freedom for everything as long as no one is affected. BIM is known for its night life when most students stay awake till 2 or 3 chatting, doing assignments, playing.Girls have to leave to their hostel by 10pm. The ratio of boys to girls stand at 3:1 as of now. There is no mandatory ratio. varies every year. The hostel has a decently big cricket cum foot ball court, outdoor badminton court, an indoor TT court and an informal basket ball pole too. There is a canopy near the mess where most of the non cultural events like discussions, debates and committee events take place.

Hostel Facilities

4

Currently the colleg is located within BHEL premises and the hostel rooms are BHEL quarters. thus home like atmosphere. The course completely a residential program and thus the student needs to stay only in the hostel and not anywhere else. Each block has 4 house with each having 2 bedrooms [a bit small], a big hall, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. 2 share a room and thus 4 share a house. The room mates are determined by the college to ensure language diversity

Alumni/Alumna

BIM maintains a strong network of its alumni. Most of them hold strong positions at reputed institutions. They help via placement opportunities, guest lectures, workshops, visiting faculties etc.

Exam Structure

6 [3/year * 2 years] trimester examinationswith Mid Term examinations a month before Conducted with tight invigilation and with good amount of time for students to prepare The midterm examinations add to the internal marks60% weightage to Internals and 40% to externalsinternals comprises of midterm, presentations, assignments, attendance, class tests etc

Faculty

4

All faculty are highly talented with rich industry experience 50% of them are permanent staff while the rest are visiting faculty from reputed and relevant organisations. Few are alumni of BIM, who strive hard for the sustained success of their alma mater.

Actually the student of last semester student only participate in campus interview in a campus interview. they will selected 15 to 20 people in a campus interview. they don't select all the people and they came from local companies near by Salem.village area companies like a factories like cement company , manufacturing companies soda packaging company like that company offered as management training for the one year they will provide 15 to 20000 there will be a increment and promotions on that manufacturing companies . the student selected in campus interview they was well educated student and well known student about the MBA concept and they didn't they didn't fail in any subject they clear all the papers and get the good marks even first class students they are better but my interest was in local companies so I choose to go in big MNC companies but in my college they don't offer campus interview for the big companies they call only local companion so I don't have interested at local companies.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
