Remarks
I feel there is a bit of internal politics. however they do not reflect upon the students. The faculty ensure that the students gain out of their teaching. They are easily approachable and friendly. Its more of a flat organisation where students need no appointments to meet anyone unless it the top most management. The infrastructure needs to improved. The currents facilities just meed our need and not our wants. There is value for money when it comes to academics, food and pleasant environment. But no value when it comes to infrastructure.

Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is a bit high for what is being offered infrastructure-wise.No compromise on the academics part. The fee including hostel, excluding mess and electricity bill comes to around 12L for the whole course. Mess bill varies based on food preferences from Rs. 2.5k to 5.5k/monththe mess is managed by the students and thus is a non profit service
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
I dont think BIM has loan facility. Must be arranged on own. However the SBI branch @ Thiruvembur offers collateral-less loan of upto Rs. 20L for students enrolled in BIM.The other branches may provide too.
Campus Life
Academics and extra-curriculars are best managed BIM. There is complete freedom for everything as long as no one is affected. BIM is known for its night life when most students stay awake till 2 or 3 chatting, doing assignments, playing.Girls have to leave to their hostel by 10pm. The ratio of boys to girls stand at 3:1 as of now. There is no mandatory ratio. varies every year. The hostel has a decently big cricket cum foot ball court, outdoor badminton court, an indoor TT court and an informal basket ball pole too. There is a canopy near the mess where most of the non cultural events like discussions, debates and committee events take place.
Hostel Facilities
Currently the colleg is located within BHEL premises and the hostel rooms are BHEL quarters. thus home like atmosphere. The course completely a residential program and thus the student needs to stay only in the hostel and not anywhere else. Each block has 4 house with each having 2 bedrooms [a bit small], a big hall, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. 2 share a room and thus 4 share a house. The room mates are determined by the college to ensure language diversity

BIM maintains a strong network of its alumni. Most of them hold strong positions at reputed institutions. They help via placement opportunities, guest lectures, workshops, visiting faculties etc.
