The admission process is quite easy. You can get admitted either through CET, COMED-K or obtain a Management Seat. Cut off for each of the branches changes every year as decided by the examination committees. Once the counseling sessions are done, we can visit the college and proceed with admissions. At every step, the office staff assist students and guide them throughout.

The Computer Science course in Sai Vidya is much spoken about. Also, the faculty here are remarkable. Hence I chose this course. Teachers always ensure that the topics covered in every class are well understood by us. They come down to our level when it comes to clearing doubts and encourage us to participate in co-curricular activities. They are always ready to assist us in any projects/research undertaken. As prescribed by the VTU, we have 3 internal assessments and one semester-end examination. Notes and all other resources required are provided to us by the faculty. Overall the system is well planned and organized.

The fee structure varies depending upon whether we are admitted through CET, Comed-K or Management. The college collects only the prescribed fee and no overheads were collected from us. Placement training sessions are held from the 6th semester to prepare us for the industry challenges. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Mindtree visit the campus. Eligible students are most probably placed before the end of the 7th semester. The packages offered are quite satisfied with the average pay being 3.5-4 LPA.

SVIT has a huge playground as well as a basketball court. The luscious green campus is spread over a few acres. The library is well maintained and has a good amount of reference material. Classrooms are spacious with good projector systems installed. The college sports team actively participates in VTU as well as other sports contests. Students can also train after college hours in the campus . 'Sangama', the cultural wing of SVIT organizes the annual Kannada Rajyotsava Festival. It is celebrated in an elaborate manner with a showcase of various talents. Sanchalana, the cultural fest of SVIT happens in the even semester. TechVidya- tech fest of SVIT, where technical events are conducted happens in the odd semester. All the clubs, auditions, and fests are organized and carried out by the students with the assistance and support of faculty.
