Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course due to my personal interest and there is good scope in Government jobs for Agri Sector. Our college has a good faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15 (approx). The faculty is ok-ish. But some are good. A few professors are from IIT. This year due to covid there was a delay in exams as our sessions started late. Papers are of moderate level, which decent preparation you can easily pass them.
Internships Opportunities
Students except agricultural brach get good internship opportunities in IT-based firms in and nearby Udaipur. It's is quite hard to find an internship if you are in an agricultural branch, although it's not impossible but it's hard.
Placement Experience
Generally from 6-7 semesters, students start getting a pre-placement offer. In Agricultural branch companies visiting are John Deere, Mahindra, etc. for other braches companies like Wonder Cement, Binani Cement, Hindusthan Zinc also visit our campus. This time even in covid our highest placement was 25LPA from CSE. Agricultural eng. brach highest placement was 12.5:PA and median placement was 7.5LPA. 70-80% of students get placed. My plan is to start my business and want to become Agripreneur.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is given based on the seat you get while counselling. There are 2 types GAS and SFS. As GAS is government-aided its fee is only 50,000/year and for SFS it's 90,000/year. The cost to study is low here. One of the recent scholarship programs run by our college was "COVID-19 CTAE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP". There are also other scholarship programs you can apply to like "Aditya Birla Capital COVID Scholarship Program".
Campus Life
There are few functions organized by clubs, recently GENESIS 2.0 was held. Due to COVID, no annual fest are conducted for the last 2 years. We have a huge library, which has a collection of 60,000 books. Our college also provides books each semester for exam preparation at 10% of the original price, but we need to return them back to the book bank as the semester ends. 1st-year classrooms are well furnished with smart boards and speakers and good furniture.
