Remarks
Overall i would say i took the wrong decision of joining this college, should have waited for another year to make a better decision.
Entrance Preview
XAT chose this college since they had an 1yr MBA program got a score of 74% UBS marketed their college really well and i fell into the trap.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was intense and pretty good the curriculum was the same as that of ISB or Great lakes(GLIM) it was designed pretty well and the course was hectic from Day1.
Internships Opportunities
LG had come to take in a few sales students and a stipend of 7k was offered they had to miss classes to work for LG over 3 months other than LG no one showed up, the students had to get their own internships.
Placement Experience
Pretty bad only a handful of companies came like Decathlon who offered a mere 25k package even for students who had 3 yrs exp in Infosys like myself.
College Events
Karjat is a very small town in the outskirts of Bombay, hence not too many colleges are around. UBS does have its yearly Rush 4 Rush cultural event which is usually attended by just one other Marine school.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is affordable but they quote a higher amount for what is offered and payment of fees is poorly managed by the management of the college the rooms are pretty expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
They did offer a scholarship of an elegible student while joining the college it was waived off from the fee no loan facility was offered by the college.
Campus Life
Hostel life was the most fun part of the college, true with most colleges we had tons of parties almost every week we did have workshops and debate presentations and quiz competitions.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was pretty compact and decent per say mess food was awful at times and was very sub standard for most days of the year, cleanliness was a massive problem.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni is almost non-existent and hardly anyone is in touch with their peers purely cos of the lack of trust with the college and the dissappoinment of not getting any good placements.
Exam Structure
Like the course we had regular tests, assignments and exams which was pretty hectic but students do get the time to relax themselves in the weekends.
Faculty
Except a few who had exp teaching in top colleges in India and abroad others were sub standard and hardly any idea how a course should be taught. U cant directly mix work experience and MBA school, which they did.
