Entrance Preview

I took SRMEEE and secured a rank of 5000 rank. I also took AIEEE and was offered Biotech branch in NIT Warangal. Since I wanted to study Computer Science, I chose SRM University as I had heard it has good infrastructure as well as praise worthy faculty.

Internships Opportunities

I basically applied off campus for my internship and did it at Uniq Technologies in Chennai itself. Being a small startup which provides training to students and develops software for their clients, I got to be involved in a project related to develop a website for an Australian bank. I was offered no stipend.

College Events

There are two major college fests held every year, One "Aaruush" - held in fall semester, and one "Milan" which takes place in spring. Aaruush is a tech fest emphasizing on many tech and gaming events.Milan is primarily focused on extra curricular events.

Fees and Financial Aid

As my family was solvent enough, I did not avail any loan. Consequently, I do not have much idea about loans.

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
