BBA Bangalore Univ. affiliated review

I pursued BBA affiliated by Bangalore University in the DSCE campus located in Kumaraswamy Layout, and for admission, they need 45-50% aggregate in your 12th, and if one fulfils these criteria the admission is direct and simple BEWARE of any brokers charging extra in the name of donation you can directly visit the campus's main admissions office for further details HOWEVER except BU they too offer BBA in the name of DAYANANDA SAGAR UNIVERSITY and it's Autonomous. and even if you have a much lesser percentage in your 12th mostly you won't get admitted in the BANGALORE UNIVERSITY offered BBA, they'll offer you for the Autonomous BBA with some under the table negotiations mostly. The college's staff and way of treating students are very shaggy and ill mannered (talking of my branch BBA BU) and most professors are just okayish types. and talking about attendance it's very much compulsory to be 75% for BU and 85% for the DSU offered BBA respectively, the campus environment is also just okay.

faculty to student ratio is very bad considering 1:60 like one professor per 60 students and they are very much good at doing their job and leaving the whiteboard. Assignments are given every now and then and they carry just bloody 1 MARKS and you'll have to write very hefty for that also, however in the final year they become practical types like presentations and all. due to COVID, our curriculum was delayed by 3-4 months for the fact that college/university did not have that infrastructure to conduct in online mode. most assistant professors are just Masters in either Mcom or MBA and mostly from Dayananda Sagar itself. some are PhD too but the curriculum is mostly taught by the assistant professors throughout.

They only provided BPO internships. no such internship opportunities, rather you need to work yourself and find one on online websites and apps. and in covid times I feel there is shortage of jobs itself corporates are cutting employees for several roles shifting to smaller but smarter premises, so the internship culture will get affected for sure.

From the start of final year students are eligible for placement drive, same for engineering too, there no such big companies specifically visiting for Management students placements they just have a quota left after engineering placements. However, when Mercedes visited our campus instead of hiring from automobiles they hired students from mechanical.

Fees are almost somewhere around 4-5 lakhs and without prior notice they'll just hike it by themselves adding anything as miscellaneous into that and there's no transparency about that. and in COVID times they were treating needy students unmercifully regarding fees payment and were providing TC to those who were't able to pay. and they HIKED the fees too during this time itself. i didn't availed any financial assistance or scholarship but what i have heard and experienced is that this isn't the college which knows any kind of ASSISTANCE.

Anyways for our batch, a course of 3 years underwent 2 years of covid lockdown, the fest's happening in various department of this college was used to lively but not that great too. Classrooms are very basic just like schools in Bangalore nothing such great to be pointed out about however they provide air conditioned ones for the autonomous students considering their fees too is somewhat high than ours and looking at that in summers ours used to be quite suffocating as there's no proper ventilation too. there are many social clubs and activities which seems quite useless in this PANDEMIC time.
