Entrance Preview

I got the college entrance examination and even though I was terrified by the sheer number of people in the hall who were my competitors, I scored well and came second on the merit list. The biggest reason for opting for this college was the ambiance along with the excellent teaching faculty they had.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I majored in English and had History and Journalism as pass subjects. The English curriculum was a huge shock to me and very different from what I had read till date. The tough dramas, stories and poetry befuddled me and my only source of solace was the familiar History and easy Journalism syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship program in the college because the college only specializes in Graduation with B.A, B.Sc courses where there are hardly any internship facilities available.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements were not provided because the college only specializes in Graduation with B.A, B.Sc courses where there are hardly any internship facilities available.

College Events

4

My college was a Hindu missionary college and so all the religious festivals were celebrated with gusto like Saraswati Puja, birth anniversary of religious figures etc. Other than that, there was huge annual fair where handicrafts made by students was displayed. Other events are Freshers, Reunion, Rakhi and other festivals.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans were not necessary for studying in this college. Those who could not afford to pay the tuition or hostel fees, got free studentship along with free private tutorship.

Campus Life

3.5

The college campus was huge and there were two big function held every year with song, dance, drama, elocution and other programs. Annual sports day was celebrated as well.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is active and there is a flourishing Facebook page were old and new students interact freely. Every year reunion is held on 26th January.

Placement Experience:

Placements at VBU especially for courses like BA IN JAPANESE are limited. Most students do not receive offers through campus recruitment. However, the course opens up oppurtunities in fields like translation, interpretation and working with Japanese Companies especially for those who clear JLPT N2 or N1. After completing my bachelor's I plan to pursue an MBA as combining language skills with management education offers a strong edge in the global job market.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

In our college The course is for three years. These three years have been divided into six semesters. Six months is a semester. Final exams are taken every semester. Also, our college has different facilities. There is a mess for the students. There is a library for the students so that they do not have any difficulty in studying. Which is very useful for us.

Actually my choice is general because of the pressure. I don't take any private teacher for tuition. Because I'm not belong from a rich family. I'm from a lower middle class family. This the only couse to choose this course.

Placement Experience:

The placement of BA Hons linguistics in Aligarh Muslim University is too good. It has its own training and placement office to help students get college placement and make their life successful. The salary during campus differs depending upon student and his/her skills. However overall salary offered here is satisfactory.
