B.Sc- IT at Marwari College

It's been over 80 years since Marwari College started and this long run has made it one of the best in Bhagalpur. The college is a Public institute and has been affiliated with Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University. It has been accredited with A Grade by NAAC and courses all across Science, Art's domains are available at Marwari College. The admissions to the college for B.Sc - IT are based upon the written test and Interview performance.

As I did my 10+2 in Science, I had the opportunity to go further in the field through a graduation in the same and that's why I chose B.Sc - IT because of the advancement in this domain. The 3 year course fills students with potential to become a worthy professional in the industry. Students can either go for higher education after this course or Start a job in the field. The college also offers a B.Sc programme in Biotechnology.

As I said earlier I didn't want to get myself on the track of earning because as per me It would surely make my learning process dip downward. Thus, I didn't apply for the college internships. In that time I worked as a campus ambassador with an online platform and It helped me to grow some leadership skills in me.

All placement activities of the college come under the Placement cell and it organised a good number of activities to help students in getting a good job. Wipro, Infosys, ITC are some of the names I remember hearing from the participants. The reason I didn't opt for the round was that I knew if I go towards a job just after my graduation it will not let me do my higher education properly and I wanted to do a Master's in the field.

For my Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology the college charged a total of INR 24,000 and I had to pay it in three annual shifts of INR 8,000. Alongside this reasonable fee the Merit and financial condition based scholarships make students life even easier. Through these benefits the deserving students are recognised.

Our college campus is built in over 8 acres of Land which includes an Open Auditorium, Library Hall, Common Room and a Gym. Students get the opportunity to be a part of numerous activities and sports events. The college is fully WiFi enabled and committees/groups such as NSS, Placement committee, Student council etc are also there. As the college offers technical as well as Humanities thus there is an equal balance among both kind of Activities.

I was not aware of the hostel facilities that much because I didn't need to opt for any such facility. However,some of my friends were searching for accommodation nearby the college and I helped them to get a good PG at reasonable prices. Being a local, I visited them a few times and they were pretty Satisfied with the facilities. There PG also gave them food for one time and it's taste was very homely.

The admission to the B.Sc course at Marwari College was given as per the Final Merit prepared by the college after the Written test and Interview round. To be eligible for the process Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in 10+2 with Science stream.
