Remarks
The course requires you to have a certified bachelors' degree from a university. The application form is easily tracked in the official website of the college. Application fees is nominal of around Rs 1500. The overall admission process is very smooth and easy for those especially, who have done their bachelors also from Amity University, like my case.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I wanted to pursue a career in fashion and Amity is one of the top colleges for fashion management. The faculty-student ratio is 1:25, which is a good sign, becuase more attention is given to us, rather than classes being scattered. The faculty guides act as mentors and are very helpful. The teaching method is also very professional. End-term exams are conducted online on the Amizone portal in a smooth and efficient manner without any technical glitches.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are also there, but only partially. Not everyone is given a summer internship. The average stipend for interns from the companies that recruit from campus is Rs 5000 per month, and the highest is around Rs 12000 per month. Some companies that come for summer interns are Delhi Fashion Club, etc.
Placement Experience
The placements are 100% guaranteed by the college. The average package for MBA Fashion management is Rs 4 lakhs p.a, with the highest package being Rs 10 lakhs p.a. Recruiters come from a wide range of industries from export and buying houses like Globus Exports & JMD Garments, to Fashion designers like Ajay Mehra and Ritu Kumar. Retail Brands like the Aditya Birla group, Big Bazar, Raymond, DLF Emporio, GAS, Zara, etc are also regular recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is 4 lakhs per year, for a 2-year course. Cost to study is fair and decent in Amity. The infrastructure is very good and world-class. There is an opportunity of merit scholarship for those students, who perform exceedingly well in academics. They are given a rebate of 30% sometimes even 50%, depending on the case.
Campus Life
The biggest fest is the AYF or the Amity Youth Fest, which is conducted in February, mostly. The central library of the university is very robust and of an international standard. There are ample books and reference materials avaialable in the library as well as on the online portal. Classrooms are also very spacious with comfortable seats. Every department has atleast 5 clubs and societies, to keep students engaged. The sports infrastructure is also robust. Sanghathan is the annual sports fest conducted in Amity every year, where students from all colleges of Amity compete amongst themselves.
