Remarks
We have an entrance test. And based on that test we are given seats and scholarships in the college. Anyone who passed 12th is eligible for the course. The application form, fee, and dates are provided by the college and we can even find them on the internet. Till date, the admission process is good and is done in a systematic manner.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I have an interest to learn about computers from my childhood. There are many faculties in Gitam and a brief ratio would be between 1:40 like that. All the faculty are highly qualified and the majority of them hold a Ph.D. in their respective courses. Exams are conducted once a month and Sem end exams are conducted every 5 or 6 months. If prepared well we can easily pass the exams. So I would say the exams are of moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internships. If impressed they hire the students starting from the 6th semester. Personally, I'm still in the 5th sem so i dont have any experience in internships from college. But many people from previous years have had a good experience in internships.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in our college. We are provided with a good amount of companies. From the 6th semester onwards we are eligible to get placed. Many famous companies like TCS, Wipro, etc come for placements. The highest package to date is somewhere between 20-30 lakhs. And Avg package is 4-6 lakhs approximately. Easily Above 60% of the students are placed. My plan is to get a placement in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is a bit harsh on people. For CSE the fee is 2,72,000 which is very high for middle-class people. A decrease in fee would help people a lot. They provide Scholarships to people who are above qualification rules of entrance exam and to people who got good ranks in EAMCET/JEE. But students must maintain fixed cgpa to continue their scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus Life is very good. We have annual fests, tech fests, workshops, etc which are exciting. And even there is a great atmosphere in the campus. Almost all types of books needed for the academy are available in the library. Classrooms are decent and are provided with A/c(for some classes only) and a projector(for almost all classes) which helps a lot. Sports and extracurricular activities on the campus are very good. We are provided with excellent facilities in the campus for various sports equipment. We even have student clubs such as GUSAC, Kalakriti which are of different genre and interested students can join.
