Remarks

The admission criteria were based on IPU-CET marks (at present, JEE marks are considered). There were 3 rounds during seat allocation and an additional spot round for unfilled seats. I was allocated to JEMTEC in the 2nd round and I decided to opt for this college. I had to visit the college once and submit all the documents like the 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

In the first year, there were no core subjects. The main reason to opt for CSE was to study more about computer science, that is why 1st year was quite rough in terms of academics especially Maths and Physics. Just like other IPU colleges, teachers were just teaching just for the sake of it. The term exams can be passed easily if one is well versed with "Akash".

Placement Experience

From the seventh semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Almost all students of CSE get placed in some of the other companies. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Nucleus, etc are the common ones. The highest package was 9LPA to 8 students given by Rapipay.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no such scholarship provided to us based on our marks. A few students did get concessions on the fees since they came from economically weaker backgrounds. There was no such thing as a campus job. Our fees were hiked every year despite the ongoing pandemic where our parents were losing jobs.

Campus Life

To be precise, at the time of joining the college there was no concept of college society or club where students can meet and participate in co-curricular activities. It all happened when some of the students from our batch took initiative and formed the CSE society called Hashtag.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Placement Experience:

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.
