Remarks
The admission process was online. We have to fill two forms online only. The first form we have to fill in the Mumbai university website and the other form we have to fill is from a particular college website. Then we took the printout of the 2 forms and submitted them to the college and Rs.100 was charged for the prospectus of College. My BSc course admission was only based on the 12th percentage and no exam was taken by the college. Then if our name comes in the merit list we have to pay the fees within 2 days and submit our all documents within 2 days of timespan or else the seat will not be given.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is of the old syllabus of Mumbai University. However this year, our college has attained an Autonomous tag so they are slowly improving and changing the syllabus. I was interested in Chemistry and there is also a wide career option in this field that's the reason I have chosen Bsc. Chemistry. Mainly, girls are more than boys. The faculty is overall good. Some teachers are very supportive. There are 2 semesters and 2 practicals per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have taken admission under aided section. My fee is around Rs.8000 per year. And the Bsc chemistry course is for 3 years. But under non aided sections fees range from Rs.20,000 to 60,000. College provides no scholarship of its own but many students apply for scholarships under the Maharashtra government website. For students of SC, etc caste, the fees is somewhat less compared to general caste.
Campus Life
The campus is the main of our college and it is huge and beautiful. A canteen and cafe are there on the campus. Cultural day, annual day and many others days and celebrated throughout the year. Every month there is some or other event occurring. Book bank facility is provided to the students of low-income groups. Free wifi of a specific amount of net is provided for students only for studying purposes. Gymkhana is there for games. Different groups are there of different departments of the college.
