Remarks :

Eligibility of the course was plus two with minimum 60% marks. The admission was through single window system of MG University, Kottayam. Since I was from general category, I do not have any reservation benefits. Now this college is autonomous, and hence the admissions are done seperately from MG University.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like Chemistry. That's why I choose the course at that time. Also this college was near to my home town. Faculties are perfect from their side. Most of them completed their PhD from various universities. Eventhough they had work load, they all paid keen attention for each one of us. The university exams are done on time. But the problem lies with the publication of results. It took about 5-6 months for the declaration of result after the exams

Placement Experience :

There was compus placements conducted, but is lacking for students pursuing in science stream. Most of the companies are looking for vactional students. The percentage of students getting placements are very low.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

When I joined the course, I got the seat through merit basis. So I had to pay only 6000rs per year. That's not the case with management seats. It costs something around 15000rs for management seats. I got a scholarship called central merit scholarship based on my marks in twelth standard.

Campus Life :

There was cultural fests in every weekends. Also Arts day is conducted in every year. Along with these various festivals like onam, christhmas etc were celebrated with full enthusiasm. Library facilities are good. But during my course of study due to construction activities the library was little accessible. Other infrastructure like class room facilities, sports infra were very good. The over strictness was a issue of concern for the social groupings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If we talk about curriculum, it is pretty much good. It includes things that should be brought in front of students and that help to improve the student's basic knowledge of these topics. From this year onwards the usual 3 year degree has changed and now it is four years with an honors degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a 3 year course. You have exams after each sem (there are 6 semesters). From2024 onwards its a 4 year course. Teachers make us aware about the syllabus. They teach according to the syllabus. They prepare notes and presentations for us. They go through the previous year question papers and give us important topics for studying. That helps students a lot. There are enogh teachers for each courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college follows the syllabus of Calicut University. BSc. Chemistry has more importance in theoretical and practical studies. In my opinion, theory classes should be taken in the laboratory in order to understand, its theoretical approach simultaneously.
