Entrance Preview

I took AIIMS entrance exam for premedical. I score around 68% in that exam. All India rank was 258. AIIMS is an apex institute for medical education so there were no need to think any other options.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is very much satisfying. Our institute have its own curriculum and own strategy for teaching. For research purposes we were told about many research programs like STS by ICMR, and our college also have a internal research program for students who are interested in research. Our teachers are very much supportive for research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, internship is mandatory in our college. Right now I m doing internship from our college. Our 1 year is totally scheduled for internship. Stipend is around 18000, and for skill development it is very much necessary.

Placement Experience

5

We are medical student, there is much need of doctors in our country in present scenario. After MBBS we have to clear a post graduation entrance exam for post graduation. Students who will not be able to clear this exam can also join our hospital as junior resident.

College Events

4

Every year we celebrate our annual day. On that day many cultural activities are done. Prize distribution ceremony is also organised where medal of appreciation was given. We also organise one sports fest and one culture fest named TEJAS and ASTERION respectively. Both are intra college fest where interbatch competition is organised for various activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a govt college, fees is only 5000 rs. Which was taken in the starting of our college days. No other colleges fees is given. Hostels are free. Mess charges are 36000 per year, which include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. There is no sports charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided only for the students who are doing any research project in the guidance of our teachers. No other scholarship programme.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is satisfying. We have students from two courses. One is from medical and second from nursing. In MBBS batch there are 100 students and in nursing batch 60. Only girls are taken here in nursing course. So gender ratio increases. Total no. Of girls are more than boys. Student from different state, cast, religion are present here. Everyone celebrate their special festivals.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is very good. We have 10×10 feet room per person. There is no sharing of rooms. Initial 4 years bathrooms and toilets was common. But now from last 1 year we have our separate room and attached bathrooms. Food quality is not up to the mark. But I m satisfied from our food after comparing it from other govt medical college.

Alumni/Alumna

I am from the first batch of AIIMS Jodhpur. So as such we don't have any senior. Here we have our teachers to guide us as a senior. Teachers are very much friendly with us.

Exam Structure

Education system is very much structured and strict. We have to go daily in hospital and college both. Generally our timings are from 8am to 4pm. But it can also extend depend on topic and teachers. Every 6 month we have to give a semester exam. That is counted as internal, after that every one year an another exam is also conducted which is count as external examination. Total marks are calculated by combining 50% internal and 50% external marks

Admission

Our counselling was done in Delhi. We were thoroughly told about the admission process. Our documents were kept there and fees was deposited. They gave the date for coming into Jodhpur for admission. And finally we came to the college accordingly. Here our administrative department told us about any extra formalities. And we were oriented for 2-3 days about our course.

Faculty

4.5

Majority of the faculties are very good and skilled in their work. They had to clear an interview by the doctors of ministry and health welfare before coming in AIIMS Jodhpur. Most of the teachers are student friendly and have different innovative way of teaching.

MBBS is one of the most prestigious, rewarding, and respected courses. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:15/20. There are enough faculty for a good teaching environment. Faculty are well-qualified doctors with Postgraduate degrees in the respective subjects. Exams occur every 3-4 months and the passing percent is 50%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor right from the bottom of my heart. Mainstream interests of mine were in medical fields like cardiology and researched right from the beginning so went for it and hunted down the goal. Faculty student ratio: The ratio is pretty normal. About 14 faculties per 200 students and detailed attention are surely given on an individual basis. Faculties are highly qualified doctors who are experts in their field so don't worry about the quality of education that u are gonna get here .its among the best in the world I can say for sure. Term exams are held on a regular basis but you have to keep track of your studies very effectively otherwise exams might be a nightmare for you but still they are pretty easy to paas for those who study on the regular basis.
