Dare to opt and create memories.....

First and foremost after completion of 12, we need to give entrance exams like eamcet or polycet in mid-April. So I have given police entrance test and secured 934th rank in it. Upon announcement of results in a week, I further went to the process of counseling and certificate verification before opting for colleges. After completion of the process, I applied through an online portal named ap polycet where a list of colleges is present for the admission process. There I applied for pydah college of engineering and technology and opted for civil engineering as a stream. The eligibility for the course was slightly easier as there was less competition in core branches of engineering. so within a month I got my admission as expected, completed college admission formalities paying the tuition fee of advance 10000 rupees from the total 40k excluding stationary and college taxes. There is also another possibility in getting admitted without any entrance exams, that is through management seat

From childhood, I always have a positive opinion towards civil engineering and always wanted to be a part of the construction field so it paved a way for choosing civil engineering. There would be around 12 faculty members for the civil engineering department so it never created a problem nor any lack in providing proper classes. All faculty members have postgraduation as a basic qualification for teaching and the teaching methods are both practical and classroom-based as both are necessary parts of education. The exam pattern consists of 2 mid-term exams followed by a semester, where the average of mid-term exams is considered as 20% of semester marks. The term exams never looked tougher as the portion was a little, so the major difficulty was in the final semester exam. Even that can be put down by proper preparation.

The fee structure was quite good as the college is under the ap government a partial amount is beared by them. A total of 40k rupees where the government of clears a fee of 25k out of it for the students qualified through eamcet or polycet. So the financial assistance is a positive note, the scholarship has been the demerit of the college where we couldn't find a single student awarded by scholarship. One of the major drawbacks of the college is the campus placement as we couldn't see a single company in college premises recurring students.

Campus life is a joyful memory of every student studied here. Every year college annual fest is conducted in mid-December by the college and tech fests are conducted thrice a year by the selected respective branches of the college. The college library is quite good as we could get the books of our subject related but don't expect out-of-box books or journals that you could increase general knowledge. The classrooms are spacious and with good ventilation and hygiene, it has a piece of good furniture and all the requirements for the classroom along with a blackboard. The campus has a large playground for sports like cricket and football but the grass has never been cut off, it separately has courts for sports like kabbadi, badminton, and basketball. Other games include all the indoor games are at one hall near the canteen. There are many social groups run by the students on Instagram and Facebook for student unions where they discuss about the issues in college to be forwarded to admin.
