Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very progressive, innovative and has a great bearing for the furtherance of the job qualifications and research orientations in the future. I assess the course as very good and very competitive in the present day job market.
Internships Opportunities
No internship was provided in our time. If any students get qualified in UGC NET (JRF) then they get the stipend as per UGC rules. It is at present around Rs. 25,000 per month along with HRA.
Placement Experience
Campus Placement is non-existent. But sometimes some companies and big business houses were making campus selection and recruitment. But the knowledge and experience provided in the department is very much helpful in getting good jobs in the competitive scenario.
College Events
College celebrtaed Annual Day, Freshers party, Cultural nights, Ganesh Puja, Saraswati Puja, Seminars (National, International), Workshops / training programmes, Guest Lecturers, Interactive sessions with great personalities / celebrities and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
University has a number of scholarships and can provided loan facilities to the students. The students availed the scholarships at the maximum but the loan facilities are negligible. Sometimes the students can avail loan facilities from the banks situated in the campus by their own.
Campus Life
Definitely, the campus life was very much formative, lively and educative. The gender ratio favoured the girls. The students participated and enjoyed various parties, programs and workshop/ seminars etc. There is no caste based differentiation but students are affiliated to different political ideologies and belong to economic diversity.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is a handiwork of the alumni and by the departments. It provides a huge network to know and interact with the classmates, seniors and juniors.
Exam Structure
During our time, the examination was annual and we had to face 2 examinations during PG courses but now it follows semester examination patterns (4 Examinations). For M.Phil, two semester examinations and one interview for the research thesis / projects.
Faculty
Faculties are very much friendly, visionary, motivators and with great heart. They are the ideals before the students with their behaviour, knowledge and resourcefulness. They motivate us to be open minded and knowledge seekers rather make us book worms and examination oriented.
