Remarks
The admission process was initiated with online services offered by DHI, we were allotted eligible colleges near our house with valid courses. I was allotted only 1 college i.e RTC and I was admitted to it. I didn't avail any quota. The minimum mark for BCom Hons is 50% in class 12th with accountancy included. The minimum age should be 18 I was not availed of any counselling classes. Teachers are regularly absent during class as they are subjected to various departments and other works, the class timetable is not efficient at all.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I was so delighted with BCom honours as I was aiming to be a commerce teacher. The student's ratio is very adequate. The teachers are highly qualified with some holding up to 6 PhD, their teaching is quite an old school and needs some upgrade. Exams were held from time to time without any miss, even the syllabus was completed 1 month before the exam. The difficulty is moderate to easy.
Internships Opportunities
We were offered an internship under sister ( spice company) as well as nepco, there were no stipends, to be honest. We were provided with rupees 1000 per month and some were not even paid enough. There were several projects like preparing b/s and tallying daily market observation.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students are allowed to get placements. Several IT companies have hired a few students from this college like Wipro, tata consultancy etc. They are offered around 4 LPA. The number of placement are quite less, around 20 in the whole college. My plan is to get into banking after completing my course.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government funded college, the fees are extremely low, we are bound to pay around Rs 400 every semester and if there are any other fees it costs less than RS 100. I once received a scholarship from a quiz and it was around 100 rupees per month.
Campus Life
All the annual fest are extremely joyful and celebrated at the state's biggest auditorium. But for the past 2 years, there has been no function keeping covid guidelines in mind. The library is quite average with the quite medium sized room, not all the books are available. Extracurricular activities are not much active here. There are several groups run by students like abvp, nkt etc.
