Remarks
The admission process was very easy. I appeared for MET [Manipal Entrance Test] and secured a rank of around 11,000. Admission was done on the basis of our MET rank. I had visited MUJ for counseling and opted for BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do a BTech in Mechanical Engineering because this is the only branch in BTech to which I felt connected. There is also a very decent faculty-to-student ratio in the mechanical department at MUJ. There are only around 10 students per faculty. The faculty's teaching is very good and they are very knowledgeable.
Internships Opportunities
I am from the mechanical branch and there are very few companies that offer internships with stipends on campus to core branches. These are really good for other computer branches. There are ample projects to work on ranging from Mars rovers to 3d design.
Placement Experience
Students sit for placements usually in their 7th semester. There are many companies like Microsoft and Dell which visit the campus. The highest offer made this year was 30 LPA. The average package is 7LPA and on average, at least 90% of students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition Fee - INR 140000/semester Hostel Fee - INR 120000/year The overall cost to study here is INR 2000000 for four years. I haven't got any job or internship on campus with a stipend as of now. These opportunities are broadly available to CSE students only.
Campus Life
Campus life is really amazing at MUJ. Oneiros is the annual cultural fest and there are many tech fests ranging from Techideate, Elicit, Genesis, and so on. There is literally everything available in the library. All classrooms are fully air-conditioned and have a smartboard as well as a normal board. Students can pick up any sport they want to, there are facilities available for everything. There are clubs for anything and everything ranging from literature to cinema to art to photography and anything from coding to designing.
Hostel Facilities
Double occupancy rooms have amazing desks and chairs, they are fully air-conditioned and are very comfortable to live in. The rooms are spacious and can be an amazing place to work if done right. The overall mess menu is really good.
