Amity Entrance Examination. I opted for this college as it was near to the place where my parents used to stay then and Amity indeed has a name in itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was detailed with Common courses in the first year and then Courses and subjects were based on what was chosen as the Stream by the student. Further there were specialised courses by the last year within the same stream itself which the student could choose based upon the interest.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, The college does provide and helps the students in getting their internships at various government and private organizations. I had done my internship from one of the best in my Stream. Bharat electronics limited and also there were internship opportunities offered by the college in the private sector as well.
Placement Experience
Almost 100 % placements were provided and the companies included big names like HCL, Accenture, CSC, Wipro, Headstrong ,Indian navy etc. In our batch almost every student was placed in reputed companies. Though I would suggest more of core companies to be brought in for placements for better opportunities for students from Non IT background.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available for meritorious students. 50% and 100% scholarships are given and the students are required to maintain the scores in order to continue the same throughout.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni have always been helpful and even 4 years after college. I could connect to my seniors for better Career opportunities and references. Even students get their internships at international locations with their Alumni and senior students network.
Exam Structure
Exams were notified much before and though hectic and tough, students would get some time prior to the exams for revisions and preparations. Mostly lab exams would be conducted ahead of the theoretical exams. Attendance of 75 % was compulsory for writing the examinations.
Admission
I applied via online application form and was given a date for the admission examination. There were written and one on one interview rounds after clearing the same I was notified about my successful completion after few days. I had received an admission Kit with all the details and would get updates from the university on regular basis before my admission.
Faculty
Excellent faculty with in depth knowledge and also well qualified. Faculty would always encourage in not just theoretical but also practical learning with practical sessions on the subjects every alternate days. There were clubs for each stream where students could take part in the extra curricular activities related to the stream and also organise quizzes and other events.
